Even when the boundaries aren't coming, there's never any sense of urgency or desperation with Babar Azam. Everything just flows so nicely.

Even when the boundaries aren't coming, there's never any sense of urgency or desperation with Babar Azam. Everything just flows so nicely.
Need 76 from 60 balls
This is too easy for Pakistan at the moment. Babar Azam clobbers a half-volley through the covers for a couple before an upper-cut brings him four more.
That is 10 from the over and all of a sudden it feels like Pakistan are very much in the ascendancy and cruising this.
Need 82 from 63 balls
Chat on the TV coverage has turned to the big question: "Where is Rashid Khan and why has he not bowled yet?"
Pakistan ease three singles off Karim Janat.
What a grab this is in the crowd.
Take a bow, sir.

Afghanistan can't afford those little mistakes. Every run is crucial.
Need 86 from 66 balls
A poor piece of fielding allows Babar Azam to pick up a couple, before he milks a single to keep the strike.
Pakistan have picked up 13 from that over without taking any risks. The required run-rate drops to 7.81 again.
Babar and Fakhar Zaman have now put on 50 for the second wicket.

He makes it look so easy.

Babar Azam is a class act.
Need 89 from 68 balls
This is more likely the Babar Azam we know.
He capitalises on some width from Naveen-Ul-Haq to slice over backward point for four.
The Pakistan skipper then shows us all the grace to in the world to deftly steer in between the keeper and short third for another boundary.
He is top class.

They have different surnames but Asghar Afghan and Karim Janat are actually brothers.

These two are finding it a lot easier with pace on the ball.
Need 99 from 72 balls
There has been a lot of chat about how Pakistan play the spin bowlers and that being key to their chances of success but you've still got to score runs off the seamers and that isn't that easy at the moment either.
Karim Janat concedes just five from his first over and the required run-rate sneaks up a bit more to 8.25.
Here's the one wicket to fall so far...
After Afghanistan's frantic opening, Pakistan were eight runs behind after the powerplay.
The difference, and perhaps a big one, is that they have only lost one wicket compared to Afghanistan's three.

We could see Mujeeb going off after he's bowled out. He looks like he's struggling with something.
Need 104 from 78 balls
Oh, that's loose. Mujeeb bowls a full toss but Babar Azam only hits it straight to the fielder. He's missed out there. He hasn't quite looked at his fluent best today.
That is Mujeeb done for the day. He's finishes with 1-14 from his four overs. Just what Afghanistan needed that.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman is going to bowl out there.
Not many bowlers get away with four overs in a row from the get go. Can he?

When everything clicks for Pakistan, they are up there with the best in the world. And those days seem to be coming far more frequently now.
Need 110 from 84 balls
Don't bowl there. Naveen strays onto the pads of Fakhar Zaman and he flicks it nicely to the boundary.
Other than that a tidy start from the seamer, with just three singles joining that four.
End of the powerplay. Honours even?
Pace for the first time in this innings as Naveen-ul-Haq, who took the catch for the wicket, replaces Mohammad Nabi.
