SL 39-1published at 6 overs
Sri Lanka edge along to 39-1 after the powerplay. Looks a little bit short but they are only one wicket down.
South Africa just ahead I reckon.

There was nothing subtle about that. That was brutal from Asalanka. You can swipe one minute but that shows there is always room in T20 cricket for your classic stroke. That was as good an off-drive as you'll see.
A hefty slog across the line from Charith Asalanka flies through the on side for a welcome boundary. Asalanka then follows is up with a lovely drive straight past the bowler for another four.
That's better from Si Lanka.

This is the key over in the powerplay. Sri Lanka have got to try and attack.

Sarah Gosling: Been a bit of a week so it’s lovely to have a jig and a google to Sri Lanka national anthem.
One over left of the powerplay, some fireworks needed from Sri Lanka you would think.
Here we go!
Charith Asalanka is the new batter as Kagiso Rabada returns. Pathum Nissanka then finds the middle of the bat and launches the ball over wide long-on for the first six of the match.

There have been a few too many dot balls for me in this powerplay.
Sri Lanka needed to step things up but Kusal Perera has checked their momentum once more. South Africa on top in the powerplay.

Not the ball to do that to. It was a horrible hack across the line. Maybe there was frustration from the lack of boundaries in the powerplay.
Perera b Nortje 7 (SL 20-1)
Anrich Nortje comes into the attack and he immediately makes the breakthrough!
Kusal Perera perhaps got a bit frustrated as he went for a rather ugly pull and sees his stumps uprooted.
I think it's hot. This is Lungi Ngidi, who is not in the South Africa side, cooling down.
Just the three runs off that over. Aiden Markram keeping it tight for South Africa so far.

Another one?! How many careers do you want? You have one for each day of the week at the moment.

Maybe there is a new career for me as an umpire.
Alex Hartley is spot on. Not out, a review lost for South Africa.

I think it has hit Perera outside the line.
Kusal Perera sweeps and misses and the ball strikes the pad - but Aiden Markram's appeal is turned down.
South Africa send it upstairs.

It is not for me to say if all has been forgiven but it seems all has been sorted out sufficiently at least for De Kock to take his place in the South Africa team.
Kusal Perera joins the party. Kagiso Rabada drifts down leg and Perera is able to clip it fine for another boundary. Nine off the over, Sri Lanka up and running.
