Player of the Match Mohammad Rizwan: "At the start it was very difficult, couldn’t really understand the conditions. Playing orthodox was difficult, to try and hit big was also difficult so the plan between us was to take it long and deep into the innings and then attack at the end.

"Regardless I want to give credit to the bowlers though, the way they bowled at the start, they picked a spot and kept hitting it and they bowled brilliantly.

"Our team is well gelled at the moment, and whatever we need we have, thankfully we’ve got all the boxes."

There's no doubt that taking part in this tournament will have taught Namibia's inexperienced side so much.

In David Wiese, they have a star player who can really take their game forward.

Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus: "We knew from the start that Pakistan had high-quality players and they were the in-form team in the tournament and like serious title contenders. We knew we'd have to compete hard and I thought we did that for quite a while.

"We spoke about competing and be better for longer. We wanted to be better that fourth or fifth ball and then going again in the next over. I thought Pakistan were fantastic in the back 10 and their quality shone through.

"It doesn't get any easier. New Zealand are a quality side but we can take some great quality from this game. This exposure shows that we can play at this level."

How important is their opening partnership to Pakistan's hopes of reaching the final?

Yes, it may look like a thrashing but Namibia fought so well there. As an associate nation making their World Cup debut, to rack up 144 against arguably the tournament's strongest bowling attack is something to be applauded. They have plenty to be proud of.

David Wiese finishes with an entertaining 43 not out.

It is a comfortable win for Pakistan in the end. Namibia showed a lot of fight and have plenty to reflect on in that game.

This is a big learning curve for Pakistan. Bowling with the wet ball at the death. These are the sort of experiences you want.

Four more! And Shaheen has overstepped to gift Namibia a free hit! This is a pretty bad last over. He's lucky the equation for Namibia to win was impossible.

A big group of spectators jump and scramble for the ball on the grass bank like guests trying to catch the bride's bouquet at a wedding. They really went for it, I'm surprised no one got injured.

That went miles up in the air and miles back on the grass bank. What a hit!

    It works, at least!

Wiese absolutely smashes one over midwicket. That travelled miles.

Namibia can be really proud of themselves. They have scored this many runs against out of the best sides in the tournament.

David Wiese moves to 31 by chipping one straight up in the air but just short of the fielder at mid-off.
