It didn't get up and on this slow wicket he had time to get onto the back foot. Foakes has absolutely nailed that.

That was a carbon copy of the Foakes shot in the last over, the straight on drive - what a feeling.

Root's game-management is outstanding. He took 40-odd off 40 balls in that period after Stokes was out and the way he kept it going was masterful.
