Target 299
Tim Southee persists with the wide ball and it allows Alex Lees to just shoulder his arms and let the ball go through to Tom Blundell.
Southee overcorrects onto the hips of Lees and the England opener picks up a single through mid-wicket.

Southee hasn't started well. It's been a very different start from both ends for New Zealand.
Target 299
More width on offer from Tim Southee and Alex Lees crashes a cut through gully to pick up four more.
All 16 runs have come in boundaries from Lees so far.
Last minute revision will only muddle the brain, Sam. Enjoy the cricket.

I have my second A Level maths exam so will miss the whole of the afternoon session... I fully expect an England collapse by the time I get home. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG!
Sam, ignoring last minute revision
Target 299
A brilliant over from Trent Boult.
He has Ollie Pope pushing forward to leave, before sliding the final ball past the outside edge of England's new number three.
There is a lot of noise and chirp from the New Zealand fielders at the moment.

Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
It's a decent ball. Not as good as the first innings dismissal. A little shorter and wider. But it's that cutter again. Disappointing for Crawley. He's had a poor match. Opening the batting against someone like Boult is not easy but the lack of runs is concerning.
Crawley c Southee b Boult 0 (Eng 12-1)
Uh oh.
Trent Boult has Zak Crawley's number at the moment.
He'd just beat the outside edge with an almost identical delivery to the first innings, but the following ball he finds the edge.
Crawley is almost trying to withdraw the bat but a thick edge flies to Tim Southee at third slip, who takes a good low catch.
Everybody breathe.
Here's how Jimmy Anderson wrapped up the New Zealand innings...

Win, lose, draw or tie - this has been a magnificent advert for Test match cricket. All results possible, a full house on day five, absolutely marvellous. This is the best that cricket has to offer.

Target 299
Alex Lees lets one go by before getting solidly in behind the final ball of the over.
A solid start from England. Another 287 to go.
Target 299
Four balls. Three boundaries. Baz Ball is in full effect.
Tim Southee goes round the wicket and Alex Lees gets a thick outside edge through the slip cordon and away to the third boundary.
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special
It's just a floated delivery. On a pitch which you know isn't going to be hooping, you've got to whack the pitch as hard as you can.
Target 299
FOUR MORE!
Tim Southee offers Alex Lees an absolute bucketload of width and the Durham opener whacks it through point.
Great start for England.

Tim Southee. That is a gift. I'm surprised they didn't open with Matt Henry. Southee looks he's short of a gallop.
Target 299
Alex Lees drives the first ball of the England innings for four.
Buckle up. This could be absolute carnage.

I'm intrigued to see Zak Crawley play. He got out to a good ball in the first innings. He needs runs and needs to score. He's got a target on his head.
Trent Boult is brilliant entertainment.
I would have quite enjoyed watching him for a little bit longer.
