Brutal from Jon Lewis, that.
Potts toils away for another good over, and he really is so unlucky to be wicketless.

Bowling coach Jon Lewis has just held up a finger on the balcony to signal to the England players that appeal would have been out.
If you were Matthew Potts, Ben Stokes or Ben Foakes would you really want to know you should have reviewed that?
Welshman Roman Walker - just shamelessly dropping that one in there.

Crawf: 21-year-old seamer Roman Walker has taken 5-21 (inc. Rohit and Kohli) from 10 overs against an Indian Select XI today. He has never played a first-class game.
Here's the latest scorecard from India's tour match against Leicestershire.

Ben Stokes has been quite fearless with his captaincy when going for reviews, but he didn't quite fancy that one for some reason.
And just to make matters worse, Daryl Mitchell helps himself to two boundaries off the next over, one a conventional sweep and the other a well-timed reverse.
How long are we going to be talking about that non-review, you reckon?

That is plumb. How have they not referred that? Goodness me.
Oh, would you believe it? Replays show it was crashing into middle stump. What a missed opportunity that was.
Daryl Mitchell, you are a lucky man. He was dropped on three at Trent Bridge and went on to make 190, so you don't want to give him a second chance.

Potts liked it. He was convinced that was out.
Ooooh, a beauty from Matthew Potts nips in and gets Daryl Mitchell on the pads ... there's a conference between bowler, keeper and captain, but no review.
That looked mightily close.
Andy Zaltzman
BBC Test Match Special statistician
Daryl Mitchell has just scored his 381st run of the series, which is the most by a New Zealand player in a series against England since 1949.
Oooh! Daryl Mitchell plays a reverse sweep off Jack Leach which he doesn't quite connect with and it just evades the fielder at slip.
He follows it by skipping down the pitch and driving firmly for an attacking single. Just a couple of signs that his intent may change.
A fair point, Andy. But at least it would be a pleasant smell.

It's getting very lively in the Western Terrace. It's about that time of day.
Just the single from Jack Leach's over. One problem with England's incredibly entertaining brand of cricket is that it makes days like today feel remarkably underwhelming, when actually it's just a normal day one of a Test.
Not that I'm complaining, mind - the first two Tests have been great. This could just be what it takes to set up another.

Has anyone spoken of the coincidence that Jamie Overton's first Test wicket was that of DEVON Conway? Many happy Devonians with that wicket!
Tim from Warwickshire (formerly Devon)
Daryl Mitchell breaks the shackles with a thumping pull shot for four. Jamie Overton looks annoyed with himself - he'd been impressively consistent with his line and length until then.

My twin girls were playing for the Boys U13s. Twin one is run out .Twin two comes in two wickets later, complete with pony tail, same colour helmet and identical make bat, pads and gloves. Opposition w/k, a chirpy little fellow, immediately objects to umpire ''Hey ump, she cant come in again. She's already batted!"
