Is that the breakthrough? It's been referred. It could potentially be going down leg.

Matthew Potts is back....and he immediately traps Tom Blundell lbw!

    Blundell immediately reviews...

  3. NZ 273-5published at 90 overs

That's lovely from Daryl Mitchell as he takes a big stride forward and sweeps Jack Leach through the onside for four.

These two could go on for a while yet.

That streaky four also brought up the 100 partnership, their fourth of this series.

Nothing streaky about this though. Daryl Mitchell opens the face and plays it late down to third man for another boundary to bring up his half century. Another superb effort.

Broad shows his frustration at the end of the over, throwing the ball back in the direction of Mitchell after he defended the final delivery.

Umpire Richard Kettleborough has a quiet word with the England bowler.

Two edges in two overs. One for each batsman. Broad will be disappointed that it didn't carry with a new ball.

    Edged...but short!

It's all happening now as Daryl Mitchell edges Stuart Broad behind but it bounces just in front of Joe Root at first slip.

Ooh, more head in hands time for England!

Jack Leach gets one to grip and turn away from Tom Blundell, who edges behind but the ball escapes between wicketkeeper and first slip for two runs that bring up his fifty.

Another battling effort by Blundell. Well played.

Since Mitchell and Blundell have been at the crease, we've travelled to my sister-in-law's wedding, got ourselves and the kids dressed, and are waiting for nuptials to commence. Will Mitchell and Blundell still be at the crease when phones are allowed to be switched on again?

That's lovely from Stuart Broad, just getting the ball to shape away from Daryl Mitchell and beat the outside edge.

Broad looks exasperated as he trundles back to his marker.

Meanwhile, Jack Leach looks to be coming into the attack at the other end.

The history of Test cricket tells you it's not easy to chase over 300. But this England team is full of confidence. If Ajaz Patel was playing, I'd have New Zealand as clear favourites. But I don't think Michael Bracewell is going to cause too many problems.

Cracking news. Just as they did at Trent Bridge for the second Test, tickets for the final day at Headingley will be free. Don't hang around. Whatever England are chasing, you know they'll be going for it.

Tom Blundell nudges Matthew Potts' first delivery into the onside for a single, with Daryl Mitchell seeing out the rest of the over. With so much time left in this game these two do not have to rush.

It looks likely now that this game will go to day five.

    Speaking of which.....

This has been a really good cricket wicket. A lot there for the seamers with the new ball. It gets flat as the balls gets old. Some turn for the spinners.

  17. NZ 256-5published at 85 overs

    Blundell 47, Mitchell 44

That livened the crowd up a bit. It will require a collective effort to break this partnership.

Stuart Broad gets one to nip back on Daryl Mitchell - there is something in the pitch for the seamers.

Just the one run from the over. This partnership is now worth 95 runs from 219 deliveries.

Since these two got together I've sold a conservatory, failed to sell two sets of windows and sold some French doors. I've slept, washed the work van and cooked the Mrs a full English.

    Oooh, nearly played on!

Stuart Broad goes full and Tom Blundell attempts a drive that hits the inside edge, cannons onto his pads and nearly rolls onto the stumps.

  20. NZ 255-5published at 84 overs

He's scored a LOT of runs, I'm sure that has irked them?

There's a brief delay as umpire Richard Kettleborough loses his hat - a sign of just how windy it is.

Matthew Potts steams in but New Zealand are being watchful, with Tom Blundell stealing a single off the last ball to keep the strike.
