  1. SA 276-9published at 88 overs

A big lbw appeal by Lauren Bell and England as she thuds one into the pads of number 11 Nonkululeko Mlaba but the ball was straying down the leg side and England wisely opt against the review.

England will face a really tricky period tonight if they get this wicket.

That is absolutely magnificent! She's plucked it out of the air like a goalkeeper. It was always going to take something special to get rid of Marizanne Kapp.

All the England players go to shake her hand because that is an incredible innings. Just listen to the applause as she walks off.

Tammy Beaumont, take a bow! What a grab!

Lauren Bell goes full and Marizanne Kapp tries to drill it through mid-off and Beaumont flies through the air and takes a stunning two-handed catch out to her right, with both feet off the ground. A sensational grab.

Every single England fielder goes up to Marizanne Kapp and shakes her hand or gives a pat of appreciation before the whole ground rises in applause. A magnificent innings that has rescued her side from 45-4.

Issy Wong loves bowling the short stuff but with the new ball she needs to pitch it up more to keep the slips in play.

  5. SA 276-8published at 87 overs

That single left Tumi Sekhukhune with three balls left to face and the number 10 is able to defend and leave the ball alone.

The new ball hasn't created any real chances yet.

    Magnificent!

Full and wide from Issy Wong and Marizanne Kapp leans on the drive and picks out a single to deep cover.

A great call from Anna Harris but that is impressive swing from Lauren Bell. She's creating chances.

  9. Not outpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

    Oh!

The height isn't a problem, but with Lauren Bell round the wicket the ball just held it's line and was straying down the leg side.

A decent shout for England, though. They've got one review left now.

It's very full from Lauren Bell. I'll be interested in this.

  12. England reviewpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 27 June 2022

Massive appeal for lbw by Lauren Bell and England against Tumi Sekhukhune.

They waste little time in sending it upstairs and they clap hands in celebration.

It looks a reasonable shout to be fair.

That wasn't even that full from Issy Wong but that drive is as good as they come from Marizanne Kapp.

She's seeing it like a football!

  14. SA 275-8published at 85 overs

    Oh, shot.

Marizanne Kapp that is absolutely beautiful.

Issy Wong over-pitches and the all-rounder leans on a straight drive and picks up four more.

    She's up to 149.

She's holding her own here Lauren Bell. She's aware that Kapp is going to try and go after her but she just needs to keep that fourth stump line.

  16. SA 271-8published at 84 overs

    Kapp 145, Sekhukhune 9

Nice control from Lauren Bell in this over, as she concedes just a single to Marizanne Kapp.

They are aiming to get 100 overs in today by the way - 16 to go. We should get most of them in.

Wong is happy to go for runs because she brings that element that a wicket could come from any delivery. England have got that really well balanced with her at one end and Bell at the other.

  18. SA 270-8published at 83 overs

Four more. The new ball is bringing runs so far.

A rank full toss from Issy Wong is steered nicely through the gully region by Tumi Sekhukhune.

Wong responds with a beauty, with a slower ball deceiving the number 10, who nods in appreciation.

She's doing a good job for South Africa.

If they can scrape their way to 300 that will feel like a really good score for South Africa having been put in.

  20. SA 266-8published at 82 overs

    Kapp 144, Sekhukhune 5

Marizanne Kapp is going to attack the new ball by the looks of it. While the new cherry can bring wickets it can also travel quickly.

Lauren Bell strays onto the pads and Kapp whips a ball through mid-wicket, before a half-volley is whacked to the boundary too.

She's held this innings together brilliantly.
