  1. 6 runs

    Ind 44-3published at 6.2 overs

    Target 216

Another change for England as David Willey replaces Reece Topley.

He's given some treatment to start as Suryakumar Yadav back-foot punches through point for four, before he gets down on one knee and whips over square leg for six.

A serious shot from a serious talent.

It's going to need a herculean effort from India to win this. England's bowlers have been very good at the top, especially the left-armers and now Richard Gleeson as well.

  3. Ind 34-3published at 6 overs

    Target 216

Another brilliant over from Richard Gleeson, conceding just three singles. He has targeted the stumps really well so far, and hasn't offered India a single ounce of width.

It is without doubt England's powerplay, but it is worth remembering that they are a bowler down today with Matthew Parkinson and Sam Curran dropping out for Phil Salt and Reece Topley.

They still have six options though with Gleeson, Topley, David Willey, Chris Jordan, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone. How Jos Buttler uses and rotates them could be crucial.

India are in a bit of hole, and look in big trouble. They have some batting to come including Shreyas Iyer who was in good form earlier in the year. Has scoreboard pressure got to India a little bit?

Phil Salt hardly had to move. Rohit Sharma has picked out midwicket because it's a tempting boundary and it was comfortably taken.

    Rohit c Salt b Topley 11 (Ind 31-3)

    The slower ball works!

Rohit Sharma was just starting to look better for India, having flicked one-handed to the square leg boundary but Reece Topley responds well.

He beats Rohit with a slower ball, before the India captain pulls straight down the throat of Phil Salt on the mid-wicket boundary.

    England are well on top.

  7. Ind 24-2published at 4.1 overs

    Target 216

A change of ends for Reece Topley as he replaces David Willey.

His first ball is whacked over the covers for four by Rohit Sharma.

The other thing I like about Richard Gleeson is he gets really close to the stumps, with a high arm release.

He is quite nippy Richard Gleeson, and just short of a length he can get it to just go through. He has a quite droopy left arm but it's a bit like Wasim Akram, albeit it with his right, in the sense it helps skids his action through a little.

  10. Ind 20-2published at 4 overs

    Target 216

A small release of pressure for India as Richard Gleeson deliveries a low full toss to end the over and Suryakumar Yadav is able to find the gaps in the covers to pick up four.

A solid start from Gleeson though, with his line superb, in keeping tight to the stumps.

The required run-rate has sneaked up to 12.25.

A change for England as Richard Gleeson - who took 3-15 on debut yesterday - replaces Reece Topley.

Liam Livingstone perhaps wasn't at his free-flowing brutal best today but he still clubbed 42 off 29, including whacking one out of Trent Bridge.

    Have a watch.

  13. Ind 14-2published at 3 overs

    Target 216

Suryakumar Yadav gets off the mark with a single into square leg, before Rohit Sharma finds another fielder with a drive.

The India skipper only has one from six balls. The pressure is building.

Virat Kohli couldn't get the elevation. I don't know what this will do for Virat - he hasn't really scored many runs in the past few months. A couple of shots out of the middle, and he looks in okay nick, but he's not getting those big runs.

It's a straightforward catch. Virat Kohli's head has dropped but England needed that.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.4 overs

    Kohli c Roy b Willey 11 (Ind 13-2)

    Four, six, OUT!

Virat Kohli charges down the pitch at David Willey and tries to flat bat through the covers but slaps it straight into the hands of Jason Roy at extra cover.

Roy dropped Rohit Sharma in the previous game so has a little fist pump in celebration, and/or relief.

The crowd are like this! The first one went way up. It wasn't really on the leg stump but Virat Kohli is strong on his legs. The next ball down the ground and he looks so good.

  18. 6 runs

    Ind 13-1published at 2.3 overs

    Target 216

    Ufff!

Hold the pose from Virat Kohli as he majestically straight drives David Willey for six.

    Glorious.

  19. Ind 7-1published at 2.2 overs

    Shot!

A little bit of length from David Willey and Virat Kohli wristly flicks through mid-wicket for a two-bounce four.

If India chase this it will be their highest-ever in T20 cricket and the seventh best in all T20 internationals.
