It was the back-of-the-hand slower ball and that gets a little bit of extra bounce.

It was a nice little cameo from Harry Brook though.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18.5 overs

    Brook c Ravi Bishnoi b Patel 19 (Eng 197-5)

Harry Brook's entertaining cameo is over after the ball gets big on him from Harshal Patel and an attempted pull comes down with snow on it. Unlike Virat Kohli there is no mistake from Ravi Bishnoi who confidently claims the catch at deep midwicket.

England will want to ensure that get beyond 200 and that seems quite likely now. They might even want 220 and that will put India under pressure.

How rare is that? It is not a tough catch, it is hit straight at him but he overrun it and got himself into an awkward position.

It's fair to say the England fans are enjoying giving Kohli some stick after that drop.

  12. dropped catch

Livingstone dropped on 36published at 18.0 overs

Virat Kohli spills one on the boundary.

Liam Livingstone pulls it to cow corner and Kohli races forward but ends up in an awkward position and he juggles it before letting it slip through his grasp.

Liam Livingstone is really strong on the on side, so that is why Avesh Khan will have bowled wide outside of the off stump, but wow, what a shot.

That is probably the best shot that Liam Livingstone has played today.

    Eng 190-5published at 18.0 overs

The free hit is launched into cow corner and the catch is held, but of course Harry Brook is able to continue as England pick up a couple.

Penultimate ball of the over is smeared over the fence by Liam Livingstone, who drives it uppish wide of the crease.

I can't get that Harry Brook shot out of my head.

That was perfectly played by Harry Brook. It was a poor delivery and Brook just had to wait for it and put it away and he did in style.

Wow! What a fabulous shot that is.

He moved right across to lap it fine leg and then yeah, wow, he went past third.

  19. Eng 178-5published at 17.2 overs

Back-to-back fours for Harry Brook. He rocks on the back foor to Avesh Khan's first ball and pulls it the boundary, before dancing out to the edge of the crease and a dab paddle past the wicketkeeper.

It's a no-ball as well, so Brook gets a free hit.

  20. Eng 169-5published at 17.0 overs

Three overs left. Avesh Khan back into the attack. He's been very useful so far with his variation of pace.
