Michael Burgess has gone to his half-century - and then taken Will Jacks for 17 in an over.

Important runs - his place in the side will be challenged by Alex Davies, signed from Lancashire over the winter, when available again.

Davies serving a one-match ban this week for offensive tweets his sent a decade ago. Social media eh?

    Bears almost level at Edgbaston.

50 for Shan Masoodpublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Derbyshire (304 & 62-0) need 294 more runs to beat Middlesex (401 & 258-5 dec)

Half-century brought up in quick time for Shan Masood as his ninth boundary gets him there off just 52 balls.

    Class effort so far.

Derbyshire 62-0 without loss as their required runs drop below 300.

  7. Masood motoring as Derbyshire pass 50published at 12:40 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Derbyshire (304 & 57-0) need 299 more runs to beat Middlesex (401 & 258-5 dec)

Runs continue to flow at Lord's

Shan Masood (46 not out) hits back-to-back boundaries off Toby Roland-Jones to move towards a half-century.

Middlesex with some thinking to do here.

  8. Postpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

Northants 25-0 need 299 to beat Glos

Nice, steady start to the chase for Northants.

Avoid early damage before lunch and that will set them up nicely for the afternoon.

355 they gunned down at home against Glamorgan last season - can they begin 2022 with a similar victory?

Gloucestershire will look to left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar to try and conjure something up themselves but the Wantage Road wicket can often be beyond even the most skilful bowler.

  9. Foxes lose a thirdpublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Leicestershire (213 & 74-3) need 296 more runs to beat Worcestershire (348 & 234-5 dec)

Leicestershire three wickets down now at Grace Road.

Colin Ackermann is dismissed by a good diving catch at slip by Ed Pollock off slow left-armer Josh Baker for 11.

Foxes with a stiff task on their hands to save this one now.

  10. Durham increase the pressurepublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Glamorgan (234 & 21-2) trail Durham (383) by 128 runs

    Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio Newcastle at Sophia Gardens

It's game on in Cardiff. Durham lost their last seven wickets in no time at all today as they decided to push the game on and slog.

However, their approach was not the best and spinner Andrew Salter cashed in with a career-best 7-45.

Although Alex Lees carried his bat with 182, his highest score for Durham, the highest total among the last five batsmen to be dismissed was five.

Durham lost their last seven wickets for 31 runs. The collapse began when David Bedingham departed for 76 after a partnership for the fourth wicket with Lees of 109.

However, what it does mean is Durham have ironically increased their chances of a win in a game which has lost so much time to the weather. Their lead was 149 and there were 84 overs remaining when Glamorgan started their second innings.

Chris Rushworth then bowled David Lloyd for a fifth ball duck and should have had Colin Ingram next ball, for a golden duck, but Paul Coughlin dropped a low chance at third slip.

But Salter has just been dismissed for 10 to a good low catch by Scott Borthwick off Rushworth to increase the pressure on the hosts.

  11. Postpublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Derbyshire (304 & 40-0) need 316 more runs to beat Middlesex (401 & 258-5 dec)

Twelve overs gone in Derbyshire's chase of 356.

Shan Masood (30 not out) and Billy Godleman (10 not out) continue to tick the board over nicely with shots both sides of the wicket.

Toby Roland-Jones is brought on at the Pavilion End for Middlesex as they search for a breakthrough without Tim Murtagh on the field.

  12. Sussex lose a thirdpublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Sussex (375 & 59-3) trail Nottinghamshire (534-9 dec) by 100 runs

Another one down at Hove as Nottinghamshire's victory chances increase.

Tom Alsop departs for just six to a loose drive off Lyndon James. Tom Moores takes the catch with the gloves on.

Sussex still 100 behind making Notts bat again.

  14. Nightwatchman Atkins' vigil endspublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Sussex (375 & 57-2) trail Nottinghamshire (534-9 dec) by 102 runs

Just over an hour without a wicket at Hove for Nottinghamshire's bowlers and then Sussex nightwatchman Jamie Atkins falls.

He is caught off a hook shot down at long leg by sub fielder Calvin Harrison off Brett Hutton.

Sussex still just over 100 behind with eight wickets in hand.

  15. Lloyd falls early for Glamorganpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Glamorgan (234 & 0-1) trail Durham (383) by 149 runs

Maybe Durham can force a win here.

David Lloyd falls in the first over of Glamorgan's second innings to Chris Rushworth as he gets one through his defences to bowl him.

  16. Postpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Warks 337-8 v Surrey 428-8d

Surrey have a strike on the final morning.

Reece Topley angling one across Craig Miles who's edged to a wide slip.

The deficit down into double figures and the game going nowhere.

  17. Godleman & Masood standing firmpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Derbyshire (304 & 24-0) need 332 more runs to beat Middlesex (401 & 258-5 dec)

No breakthrough yet with the ball for Middlesex.

Ethan Bamber and Tim Murtagh are getting some movement with the new ball and the odd one has beaten both Shan Masood (15 not out) and Billy Godleman (9 not out) but they also cashed-in on run-scoring opportunities.

80 overs still to bowl in the day.

  18. wicket

Glos all outpublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Northants 288 v Glos 223 & 363

Ben Sanderson wraps things up to claim a five-wicket haul - and nine in the match.

It leaves Northants 299 to win and they'll be delighted with their morning, the aim to keep the target below 300 which they've done.

299 in 82 overs needed so only a modest 3.64 an over required.

It is of course the final day and runs are never easy in the fourth innings but things can go very sedate as matches wear on at Wantage Road so the hosts should be quietly confident.

  19. Salter scoops up as Durham hit out and get outpublished at 11:59 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Glamorgan (234 & 0-0) trail Durham (383) by 149 runs

    Nick Webb
BBC Radio Wales at Sophia Gardens

A career-best 7-49 by Glamorgan spinner Andrew Salter limited Durham’s first-innings lead to 149 as the visitors hit out and got out.

Salter’s mayhem included 4-4 in four balls with Durham only adding 35 for the loss of seven wickets as they skied a series of catches.

Alex Lees just got past his Durham highest score by one, reaching 182 not out before running out of partners.

Durham’s bowlers still have plenty of time to push for a win, but there’ll be less scoreboard pressure on Glamorgan.

  20. Pears bag a second Foxes wicketpublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Leicestershire (213 & 43-2) need 327 more runs to beat Worcestershire (348 & 234-5 dec)

Second Leicestershire wicket goes down at Grace Road.

Dillon Pennington has George Rhodes caught in the covers by Ed Barnard as he misjudges a drive and pushes it uppishly towards him.

Rhodes dismissed for 12 which brings Leicestershire skipper Colin Ackermann to the crease.
