  1. Durham dismissed for 383published at 11:53 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Glamorgan 234 v Durham 383

Durham are bowled out at Sophia Gardens after going for some quick runs this morning.

Seven wickets fall in the first 50 minutes, but Alex Lees finishes unbeaten at the other end on 182 from 358 balls.

Andrew Salter takes 7-45 with the ball, easily a first-class career-best analysis for the Glamorgan offie.

    Durham's lead is 149.

  2. Can Derbyshire deliver for Arthur?published at 11:46 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Derbyshire (304 & 4-0) need 352 more runs to beat Middlesex (401 & 258-5 dec)

    Sam Dalling
    BBC Radio London at Lord's

And so, the declaration comes. Belatedly.

Feels a little like Middlesex wasted their own time this morning.

Yes, they added 58 runs in six overs, but did they need too? They obviously felt so.

Slightly ridiculous 36-ball passage, nine fielders on the boundary for the majority of it. Suranga Lakmal wisely stayed up in the dressing room.

356 for Derbyshire to win. That feels unlikely, but you just never know. Mickey Arthur famously oversaw the second highest Test chase of all time after all (South Africa making 414-4 against Australia at the WACA in 2008). He will believe.

Middlesex have a further 85 overs to claim the 10 wickets needed for victory. Eight overs with the second new ball later on if required.

    Draw still the favourite.

  3. Still the flattest of flat tracks at Chelmsfordpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Essex 514 & Kent 427-5

Apologies for the lack of updates on this one so far today, but I'm afraid there's little to report.

It's going to be all about personal milestones for the remainder of it as Jordan Cox (109 not out) and nightwatchman Matt Milnes (12 not out) have so far added 22 runs without any alarm to Kent's overnight score.

  4. Derbyshire begin "chase" of 356published at 11:40 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Derbyshire (304 & 0-0) need 356 more runs to beat Middlesex (401 & 258-5 dec)

Shan Masood and Billy Godleman open up the Derbyshire second innings with Ethan Bamber and Tim Murtagh taking the new ball.

No runs in the first couple of overs but some attacking fields being set by Middlesex.

A mimimum of 86 overs left in the day.

  5. 50 runs

for Zafar Goharpublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Northants 288 v Glos 223 & 349-8

So still work for Gloucestershire to do to reach truly safe waters - significant final-day run chases are not uncommon at Wantage Road.

So this half-century from Zafar Gohar, just his seventh score of fifty-plus in his 52 first-class matches, is a vital contribution.

  6. wicket

Matt Taylor c McManus b Sanderson 3published at 11:33 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Northants 288 v Glos 223 & 345-8

    Another for Ben Sanderson.

Squares Matt Taylor up, nips it away a fraction and finds a feather edge behind.

Just a couple of bowlers to knock over now for the hosts and at the moment, the chase would require below four runs per over.

  7. wicket

Ryan Higgins lbw Sanderson 139published at 11:26 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Northants 288 v Glos 223 & 344-7

This is a significant early wicket for Northants.

Ryan Higgins' has made his second-highest first-class score to rescue his side from disaster.

But he's only added five more on the final morning and the lead is not yet over 300.

Ben Sanderson has nipped one back and trapped Higgins on the crease - seventh wicket of the match for Sanderson.

  8. Middlesex declare and set Derbyshire 356published at 11:25 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Middlesex (401 & 258-5 dec) lead Derbyshire (304) by 355 runs

Toby Roland-Jones clubs a couple of one-bounce fours down the ground and then scampers back for a quick two to push Middlesex on to 258-5.

Stevie Eskinazi waves them in and decides it's time to declare.

That means Derbyshire will need 356 to win or Middlesex will have a minimum of 88 overs to take 10 wickets.

  9. Early breakthrough for Pearspublished at 11:24 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Leicestershire (213 & 24-1) need 346 more runs to beat Worcestershire (348 & 234-5 dec)

Worcestershire make an ideal start at Grace Road in their push for victory.

Charlie Morris has Sam Evans caught behind for 11 to give Ben Cox yet another dismissal.

Hassan Azad and George Rhodes, against his former county, now pick up the baton for the Foxes.

  10. Simpson goes big as Middlesex rack them uppublished at 11:21 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Middlesex (401 & 245-5) lead Derbyshire (304) by 342 runs

Two big sixes by John Simpson into the Warner Stand off Anuj Dal push Middlesex towards a 350 lead.

Some early fielding for those spectators to keep busy.

  11. Durham and Lees continue to accumulatepublished at 11:18 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Glamorgan 234 v Durham 359-6

Durham have lost the wickets of David Bedingham, Ned Eckersley and Paul Coughlin this morning, but they have collected a fourth batting bonus point.

Alex Lees (168 not out) is still there with Durham lead not worth 125 runs.

  12. Holden also falls for Middlesexpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Middlesex (401 & 224-6) lead Derbyshire (304) by 321 runs

Max Holden also departs trying to get quick runs for Middlesex as Sam Conners bags another wicket.

Holden makes 82 from 91 balls in an entertaining knock featuring seven fours and a six.

321 is the lead but out comes Toby Roland-Jones as the hosts continue.

  13. Bears fight set to be rewardedpublished at 11:12 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Warks 307-7 v Surrey 428-8d

Having been 41-4 replying to Surrey's sizeable first innings, Warwickshire had little option but to bunker down yesterday.

It was a fine rally to save the follow-on with Matt Lamb warming the Edgbaston chill with some fine strokemaking in his 106.

But as a result, some more middle time for Rory Burns and possibly Ollie Pope later today is all that day four probably has in store.

  14. Middlesex bat on but lose Whitepublished at 11:08 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Middlesex (401 & 210-4) lead Derbyshire (304) by 307 runs

As predicted, Middlesex are batting on this morning to add a few more to their lead.

But Robbie White has fallen early on for 81 trying to loft Sam Conners into the Grand Stand only to be caught on the deep mid-wicket boundary.

How much longer will they look to bat on before pulling the pin?

  15. Pears declare overnightpublished at 11:06 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Leicestershire (213 & 4-0) need 366 more runs to beat Worcestershire (348 & 234-5 dec)

Worcestershire skipper Brett D'Oliveira has decided to declare their second innings overnight and set Leicestershire a target of 370 at Grace Road.

Or if you want to look at it another way, 96 overs for them to take all 10 wickets.

    Middlesex (401 & 201-3) lead Derbyshire (304) by 298 runs

    lordsImage source, BBC Sport

All four results still on the table at Lord's today?

Middlesex have a lead of 298 against Derbyshire and are set to bat on for a bit longer to push that on.

Robbie White (79 not out) and Max Holden (68 not out) have put on 141 for the fourth wicket so far to get them in a strong position.

Sun is out and crowds are on their way in.

  19. Northants target a target below 300published at 10:55 British Summer Time 10 April 2022

    Gloucestershire (223 & 326-6) lead Northamptonshire (288) by 261 runs

    Andrew Radd
BBC Radio Northampton at Wantage Road

It's hard to quibble with Northamptonshire bowling coach Chris Liddle's assessment that the first hour on the final day of this intriguing and absorbing match, will be crucial to the outcome.

The home side need to wrap up Gloucestershire's innings quickly - although Ryan Higgins will have a view about that. The fact that the second new ball caused so little trouble to the batters last night might indicate tired legs and bodies in the Northamptonshire attack, but also a pitch losing some of its earlier spice.

According to Liddle - speaking to the BBC - Northamptonshire will want to keep their fourth-innings target below 300 if possible, which would mean tidying up the last four wickets for 40-odd runs.

A match that has already thrown up plenty of twists, turns and surprises may well have a few more in store.
