    Dawid Malan has shown all his experience at Headingley as he brings up his half-century, although he might have had a little luck along the way.

    The former England batsman has got there in good time too, off 65 balls, with eight fours.

    His stand with Harry Brook is worth 98, and Yorkshire have turned things around since lunch.

    Hassan Ali goes for a big heave to bring the scores level but he sends Keith Barker's low full toss to Liam Dawson at long on.

    Barker ends with 5-67 so a great effort from him.

    Lancashire end six adrift of Hampshire's first innings, so we are in for a cracker of a game here.

    Tom Westley nibbles at one from Tom Taylor that threatens to shape away and the edge travels into Will Young's hands at second slip - his second of the innings.

    Gloucestershire v Surrey 574-7

    This stand between Jamie Smith and Jordan Clark is now a Surrey-best for the eighth wicket.

    Now at 225, it beats the previous best of 222 from Ben Foakes and Gareth Batty in 2016.

  6. Yorkshire 100-3 v Kent 291

    Dawid Malan hits a sweet cover drive off Matt Quinn to the boundary and that's Yorkshire's hundred up.

    Batting is beginning to look much easier in the Headingley sunshine.

    Malan has 40 and Harry Brook is on 39.

    A third centurion of the Surrey innings and this time it's Jordan Clark.

    The number nine reaches the second first-class ton of his career off 151 balls and he has added over 200 with Jamie Smith.

    Boundaries are beginning to flow for Yorkshire pair Dawid Malan and Harry Brook after the difficulties the batters faced either side of lunch.

    Brook drives Matt Quinn to the rope to bring up the pair's fifty stand.

    Phil Salt reaches the landmark as he hits Ian Holland back over his head four four. It has come off 68 balls with five fours.

    His second half century since his move from Sussex but a much more valuable knock in the context of the two games for the Red Rose.

    Take a bow Jamie Smith!

    He laces one through the covers off Miles Hammond to bring up his double century.

    It has taken 400 balls and included 30 fours and the 21-year-old has batted superbly, especially as he came in at 37-3.

    That's such a strange shot.

    Will Rhodes simply scoops Lewis Gregory into the air and it's caught at mid-on by Tom Lammonby.

    A leg bye brings Surrey to their latest landmark, while the eighth wicket partnership between Jamie Smith and Jordan Clark is now worth 151.

    It's now a question of when the visitors may want to declare.

    Worcestershire were fighting back at Trent Bridge but they've just lost Jack Haynes for 49. Stuart Broad with his second wicket. The Pears are 99-5 in their second innings and still trail by eight runs.

    Glamorgan are 35-0 in reply to Derbyshire's 368, while at Lord's Middlesex are 308-5 and lead Leicestershire by 159. John Simpson has an unbeaten half-century to his name.

    Sussex continue to dominate Durham at Hove. They're 217-4 and closing in on Durham's first-innings 223. Cheteshwar Pujara is unbeaten on 42.
