    Phillips c Duffy b Stewart 125 (Kent v Gloucs 288-6)

    Big wicket for Kent there!

Glenn Phillips skies one off Grant Stewart and Jacob Duffy judges the catch superbly well, running around and taking it over his shoulder.

That means we now have two for the Price of one... or variations on that theme? In other words, Tom Price joins brother Ollie at the wicket.

Glamorgan continue to chip away at Sussex who are 192-6. Oli Carter is unbeaten on 89.

    Brook c Vince b Fuller 76 (Hants v Yorkshire 222-3)

    BIG wicket for Hampshire.

Harry Brook tries to guide a short, leg-side delivery from James Fuller down to the rope but hits it straight to James Vince at leg-slip.

It's a sharp catch from Vince and Brook is on his way after passing fifty for the ninth time this season.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

Aldridge lbw b Atkinson 3 (Somerset 180 all out v Surrey)

Just 20 balls required after tea for Surrey to clean up the Somerset innings and it's Gus Atkinson who picks up both wickets.

Kasey Aldridge is the last man to go, lbw for three, with Peter Siddle unbeaten on 19. A 180 total is more than looked likely when Somerset were reduced to 94-8, but still below what they'd have hoped for when they won the toss.

Atkinson, along with Dan Worrall and Jamie Overton, finishes with three wickets.

  8. 'Brotherly love in short supply'published at 16:35 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Somerset 174-9 v Surrey

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Brotherly love has been in short supply at Taunton the afternoon, with Jamie Overton felling his twin Craig with a fearsome bouncer.

A couple of overs later, he was at it again, the victim this time being Josh Davey, who had to go off - to be replaced by a returning Craig, who came out of the pavilion like a roaring lion to a huge cheer from the crowd.

But amidst the carnage, the Somerset lower order have been putting up stout as well as brave resistance, with Messrs Overton, Davey and latterly Siddle, adding 72 between them for the 9th wicket. Surrey, though, remain on top, especially with that wicket of Overton that has just fallen.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Overton lbw b Atkinson 29 (Somerset 174-9 v Surrey)

Craig Overton leaves the field for the second time in his innings - but this time he's out, in the second over after tea.

Gus Atkinson traps him leg before for 29 - and that brings Kasey Aldridge out, Somerset's concussion replacement for Josh Davey.

  10. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Warwickshire 200-5 v Lancashire

Warwickshire also reach their 200 at Edgbaston.

Sam Hain (75*) and Michael Burgess (38*) are going along nicely for the Bears with a stand of 58.

  11. Postpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Hants v Yorkshire 201-2

200 up for Yorkshire at The Ageas Bowl and a first batting bonus point.

George Hill is nine away from a second century of the season.

  12. Tea at Canterburypublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Kent v Gloucs 265-5

A productive session for Gloucestershire, who have continued to score at a good lick largely thanks to unbeaten centurion Glenn Phillips.

Phillips goes to the interval on 111 not out , having shared a fourth-wicket stand of 138 with Miles Hammond, who made 66.

Hammond's was one of just two wickets to fall during the afternoon, with Jacob Duffy picking up the other - that of Ryan Higgins for 24.

  13. Agony for Borthwickpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Durham 269-2 v Worcestershire

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Scott Borthwick had batted nicely through the day and was four away from his first century of the season when he got himself out three overs before tea.

The Durham skipper tried to slog-sweep spinner Josh Baker and was given out lbw. He looked absolutely crestfallen as he headed off back to the pavilion.

He did add 230 with debutant Rachin Ravindra for the second wicket. That's is Durham's highest second wicket stand against The Pears. At tea Ravindra has 137. He is the 11th Durham player to score a first-class hundred on debut.

  14. 'Very good session for hosts'published at 16:17 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Glamorgan v Sussex 161-5

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A very good session for Glamorgan restricting Sussex to just 64 runs in 33 overs, and taking 3 wickets.

Andrew Salter was mainly responsible for the slow scoring rate, his 21 overs have cost just 26 runs and has claimed the wickets of Clark and Ibrahim.

Oli Carter remains undefeated on 73 at tea after his partnership of exactly 100 with Tom Clark

This is a slow low pitch and its perhaps surprising that Glamorgan have opted to bat last

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Higgins c Billings b Duffy 24 (Kent v Gloucs 253-5)

A maiden County Championship wicket for Jacob Duffy, who has Ryan Higgins caught behind.

Ollie Price comes to the crease to join centurion Glenn Phillips.

  16. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Somerset 167-8 v Surrey

An eventful session - and, in the end, Somerset have mounted quite a fightback after sliding to 94-8.

Craig Overton and Josh Davey both had to go off after being struck by bouncers from Craig's brother Jamie - the latter retiring hurt for 25.

But Craig returned to the creaseon 22 not out and he's been joined by Peter Siddle, who is 18 not out and cracked Jordan Clark for six just before the interval.

  17. 100 runs

for Glenn Phillipspublished at 15:56 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

    Kent v Gloucs 243-4

That's a seventh first-class century for Glenn Phillips and Gloucestershire will be grateful for it!

Phillips has really accelerated since the departure of Miles Hammond, bringing up the 50 partnership with Ryan Higgins by clubbing George Linde back over his head for six.

He then chops Linde for four on the off side to bring up his ton from 124 balls - including one six and 13 fours.

Big final session on day one coming up.

  20. Division Two updatepublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 12 June 2022

Division Two leaders Middlesex are in quite a bit of bother against Derbyshire at Chesterfield. They're 175-7.

Durham are absolutely flying against Worcestershire. A stand of 218 between Rachin Ravindra (127*) and Scott Borthwick (91*) has taken them to 250-1.

Sussex are 161-5 at tea against Glamorgan. Oli Carter is unbeaten on 73.

And a Lewis Hill century has helped Leicestershire to 228-3 against Notts. Hill was eventually bowled by Steven Mullaney for 104.
