  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Organ c Brook b Thompson 8 (Hants 12-1, target 197 v Yorkshire)

    Just what Yorkshire needed!

Felix Organ edges one from Jordan Thompson and a diving Harry Brook clings on at slip.

How crucial are those lower-order runs going to be for Yorkshire?

  2. Gravy with lasagne?published at 14:18 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Warwickshire v Lancashire 98-4 (target 329)

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

The afternoon session is under way and still all results are possible, Warwickshire are favourites to win, a Lancashire victory would be an outstanding effort from this position and the draw would be very welcome.

In other news, I was offered gravy with my lasagne at lunch. I'm really not sure what to make of that. I politely declined.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Higgins b Quinn 30 (Kent 564 v Gloucs 438 & 173-8)

Big wicket for Kent and Matt Quinn delivers it!

Quinn gets one to pop up at Ryan Higgins and the Gloucestershire captain can only drag it onto his stumps.

That breaks the stand of 64 with Glenn Phillips and the lead currently stands at 47.

    Hants 8-0 (target 197) v Yorkshire

That'll settle any early nerves for Hampshire.

Felix Organ starts the chase with a couple of boundaries off Jordan Thompson - the first flashed through point and the second over the slips.

  5. Postpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Somerset v Surrey 56-0 (target 193)

Surrey are marching steadily towards this target, scoring at almost a run a ball with Ryan Patel on 23 and Rory Burns on 21.

Still 137 needed, so wickets could yet change the direction of this game again...

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

Vilas run out 21 (Warwickshire v Lancs 93-4, target 329)

That's a BIG bonus for the Bears.

Luke Wells smashes one back at Liam Norwell and the bowler deflects the ball onto the stumps to run out Dane Vilas who was out of his crease backing up.

Lancashire are four down and still need 236 for victory. That might be out of the equation now.

  7. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Patterson b Wheal 5 (Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 178)

Hampshire will need 197 for victory.

    Brad Wheal bowls Steven Patterson.

The hosts will have a minimum of 59 overs to chase them.

We could have an interesting time vs runs equation developing at Canterbury, where Ryan Higgins and Glenn Phillips have just posted a 50 partnership for Gloucestershire.

The visitors now lead by 34, with three wickets remaining - raising the prospect of a run-chase for Kent during the final session.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Drakes c Vince b Holland 21 (Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 168-9)

Hampshire strike first ball after lunch!

Dominic Drakes edges Ian Holland to James Vince at slip.

Yorkshire's lead is 186 as last man Steven Patterson comes to the middle.

The game may be drifting in Durham, but we've got a number of exciting finishes in store elsewhere.

Let's see what the afternoon sessions have in store...

  11. Game drifting at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Durham 642-7 dec v Worcs 532-9 - lunch

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

This game is more or less lifeless now and drifting to an inevitable draw.

Worcestershire avoided the follow when Durham took the third new ball of the innings after 161 overs. They were nine down at the time, having lost three wickets this morning and now we are in purgatory as Durham hunt the final wicket.

Credit to Gareth Roderick who has faced more than 150 balls to keep The Pears out in the middle. He has 40.

There have been 1,174 runs and only 19 wickets so far.

  12. Carter stars again for Sussexpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Glamorgan 494 v Sussex 376 & 183-5

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Oli Carter and Delray Rawlins put together a stand of 67 to boost Sussex’s hopes of salvaging a draw in Cardiff, with the visitors 65 ahead going into the afternoon.

Carter, who spent more than seven hours at the crease in the first innings, batted solidly through the morning session.

New Zealand’s Tim Seifert failed to make an impression as he hit a full toss from Andrew Salter to mid-wicket, and Dan Ibrahim was also out for five trapped leg-before to Michael Neser with Sussex still in arrears.

But Rawlins started positively as he swept a series of boundaries off the leg-spin of Colin Ingram, while Carter continued his watchful vigil.

Glamorgan, whose over-rate was positive from the previous day, held a series of lengthy committee meetings in the field which failed to pay dividends.

    Durham 642-7 dec v Worcestershire 497-9

So that's lunch everywhere apart from at Durham where Worcestershire are nine down.

But the Pears have avoided the follow-on. So that game is nailed on for a draw barring some sort of set up between the captains.

  15. Postpublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Somerset 180 & 394 v Surrey 382 & 21-0

Surrey have made a lightning start in pursuit of this victory target of 193 at Taunton.

Ryan Patel has caressed a couple of cover boundaries off Peter Siddle and the visitors are 21-0 after just three overs, needing another 172 when play resumes after lunch.

  16. 'Somerset have a glimmer'published at 12:57 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Somerset v Surrey 5-0 (target 193)

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A fine, fighting century from Lewis Gregory has given Somerset just a glimmer of a chance of pulling off a famous victory.

He and Peter Siddle put together a partnership of 91 for the ninth wicket which was ended only when a clearly unhappy Siddle was given out lbw.

Marchant de Lange lasted only two balls, which means that Surrey need 193 to record their 4th win of the season. Somerset need 10 wickets for their third.

  17. Postpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Hants 410 v Yorkshire 428 & 161-8

Hampshire are being frustrated by this ninth-wicket stand between Dominic Drakes and Matt Revis.

The pair have put on 37 and the lead is now 179.

Can they stretch it beyond 200?

  18. Postpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Kent 564 v Gloucs 438 & 126-7

An important landmark for Gloucestershire as Glenn Phillips steers Jack Leaning away for a single that wipes out the deficit and ensures Kent will have to bat again if they're to secure this first Championship win of the season.

With just three more wickets to capture, Kent will still feel confident - but keep in mind the batters still to come are not the regular 10 and 11 - both of whom were out as nightwatchmen yesterday.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    De Lange c Smith b Worrall 0 (Somerset 180 & 394 v Surrey 382)

Marchant de Lange lasts just two deliveries, prodding the second of them into the gloves of Jamie Smith to end the Somerset innings.

Dan Worrall finishes with 3-77 and Lewis Gregory is left unbeaten for an excellent 110.

Surrey will need 193 to win - probably a few more than they would have hoped to be chasing...

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 15 June 2022

    Siddle lbw b Worrall 42 (Somerset 180 & 394-9 v Surrey 382)

Finally the breakthrough for Surrey! It's Dan Worrall who provides it, with an inswinging yorker that traps Peter Siddle leg before and ends this ninth-wicket stand of 91 with Lewis Gregory.

Last man Marchant de Lange makes his way out with Somerset now leading by 192.
