Centuries from Colin Ingram and Sam Northeast have taken Glamorgan some way towards safety on the third day at Grace Road, with their stand already worth 233 going into the afternoon session.

Northeast has been the busier of the two, his hundred coming off 142 balls with his first real false shot, an edge through slip, after striking 16 fours.

Ingram reached his third century in four games off 175 balls, with his only let-off an edge through Colin Ackermann’s hands at slip off Wiaan Mulder.

There has been little sign so far of the pitch offering turn, and although Glamorgan need a further 193 to avoid the follow-on, Foxes captain Callum Parkinson will need to find some magic soon.

    Lancashire (132 & 278-6) beat Northants (235 & 174) by four wickets

Lancashire's title hopes were on the line this morning, especially with leaders Surrey on the way to victory.

Josh Bohannon made his hundred but went straight after to raise Northants' hopes.

However, Will Williams and Washington Sundar showed lots of patience and composure to blunt the bowling and their unbeaten partnership of 69 led the Red Rose home.

They've mopped up at Derbyshire and so the game against rivals Notts has just resumed.

Derbyshire are in good shape on 79-0, but still need another 221 to avoid an innings defeat. It'll now be about batting out the day for them.

The other two games are at lunch.

A burst from Middlesex seamer Tom Helm has given his side a chance of an extraordinary victory against Sussex. The visitors have collapsed from 53-1 to 69-5 and only lead by 107.

Colin Ingram and Sam Northeast have both hit centuries for Glamorgan who are 242-2 at Leicestershire replying to the home side's 584. That match is on day three.
