  1. wicket

WICKET Geddes c Vasconcelos b White 6published at 13:54 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Northants 339 v Surrey 46-3

    Is this a Surrey wobble?

Ben Geddes goes for a big booming drive off the back foot off Jack White but gets a thin nick through to wicketkeeper Ricardo Vasconcelos.

A moment the 21-year-old would love to have again.

  2. Postpublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Yorkshire 134 v Essex 101-5

Dan Lawrence hits Jordan Thompson for four to bring up his team's 100.

Lawrence has 25 from 72 balls as he has had to rein in some of his more natural strokeplay.

But sometimes in a low scoring game, a bit of impetus with the bat can make a big difference.

  3. 100 runs

Century for Jake Libbypublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Sussex 220, Worcestershire 234-1

Jake Libby has his century - and Worcestershire now lead against Sussex at Hove.

It's only his second this summer after last year's run-filled season when he made four of them, and comfortably topped 1,000 runs.

  4. Postpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Northants 339 v Surrey 44-2

A stylish clip to midwicket from Ben Geddes as he dispatches a half volley to the boundary.

Time for Surrey to regroup, but they bat a long way down.

  5. ouch!

Painful blow for Jack Brookspublished at 13:34 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Somerset 219, Warwickshire 27-3

Sam Hain hits a full-flooded shot that hits Jack Brooks on the inside of his knee - and the Somerset fast bowler needs treatment.

He stays on the field though. The magic sponge seems to have done the trick.

  6. wicket

WICKET Khushi lbw b Coad 1published at 13:31 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Yorkshire 134 v Essex 85-5

Yorkshire have a second wicket in no time after lunch.

Feroze Khushi is trapped on the crease by Ben Coad as the ball seems to keep a little lower than the batter was expecting.

The difference is now 49 runs and the game is certainly in the balance.

  7. wicket

WICKET Patel c Williams b White 10published at 13:28 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Northants 339 v Surrey 30-2

This was not in Surrey's plan!

Ryan Patel has given it away in the second over after lunch.

He tries a hook shot off Jack White, but he gets too high on the bat and it's straight down to Lizaad Williams at fine leg.

Ten overs in and both openers are back in the pavilion.

  8. Postpublished at 13:26 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Northants 339 v Surrey 30-1

After the flurry of wickets this morning, Surrey's plan for the afternoon will be simple - bat, bat and bat some more.

  9. wicket

WICKET Critchley lbw b Thompson 15published at 13:23 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Yorkshire 134 v Essex 80-4

The afternoon starts at Headingley in pretty much the same way the morning did with Jordan Thompson in the wickets.

It's a cracking delivery as he pins Matt Critchley in front.

Yorkshire's golden arm now has 3-25.

  10. wicket

    WICKET - Pollock c Carter b Carson 98published at 13:22 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Sussex 220, Worcestershire 195-1

Ed Pollock is out at Hove - to miss out on what would have been a third century of the season.

He departs to Jack Carson's first ball of the third over in the atfernoon session.

He plays back, looking to cut, edges and the ball appears to hit lucky keeper Oli Carter's pads before looping slowly into his gloves.

Pollock looks crestfallen - and Sussex have their first wicket.

I's also spinner Carson's first of the season, on his return from injury.

New man in is Azhar Ali, to join Jake Libby, who has moved on to 83.

  12. Potts takes six to bowl out Leicestershirepublished at 13:07 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

Leicestershire 202 all out v Durham

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Matty Potts has marked his return to the Durham team with his fifth five-wicket haul of the season - and his second against the Foxes.

Leicestershire lost eight wickets in the morning session for the addition of just 105 runs.

Chris Wright was the fifth wicket for Potts, edging him behind on 29 having added 49 with Callum Parkinson, who then became victim number six in the extra eight overs added before lunch to allow Durham to try and get the last wicket.

  13. Gregory the Great?published at 13:03 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Somerset 219, Warwickshire 25-3

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Lewis Gregory may have been out to the fourth ball of the morning without adding to his overnight 60, but he has more than made up for it with the ball.

He has picked up two wickets in eight relentlessly accurate overs, at a cost of just 14 runs.

The pitch remains unpredictable - the sort of track on which a batsman would never feel entirely comfortable.

Somerset will be hoping that their Pakistan Test off-spinner Sajid Khan will find some turn, and some wickets, to follow up his feisty 53 not out in a last-wicket partnership with Jack Brooks which was worth 37 valuable runs.

  14. Worcestershire in control at Hovepublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Sussex 220, Worcestershire 187-0

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Just 21 overs possible at Hove this morning due to a late start and occasional drizzle. However, Worcestershire have added exactly 100 against some wayward Sussex bowling.

Ed Pollock has batted beautifully, circumspect when necessary, but ruthlessly dispatching the bad ball, to go to lunch just two runs short of what would be a third first-class hundred.

Jake Libby has proved an excellent partner as the visitors reach the interval in complete control.

  15. wicket

LEICESTERSHIRE ALL OUTpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Leicestershire 202 v Durham

Matty Potts has his sixth wicket, as home captain Callum Parkinson holes out to Nic Maddinson for 31, Leicestershire are bowled out for 202 - and a delayed lunch is now taken.

Durham's openers will be back to have a go themselves in 35 minutes' time.

  16. Lunch at Headingleypublished at 12:44 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Yorkshire 134 v Essex 79-3

Essex grind their way to lunch with Dan Lawrence and Matt Critchley dropping anchor.

  17. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Somerset 219, Warwickshire 25-3

    Unquestionably Somerset's morning.

37 runs added to claim a batting bonus point.

And now three Warwickshire wickets to earn a bowling bonus point too.

Lewis Gregory has got two of those wickets, to compensate for not adding a run this morning to his overnight score of 60.

  18. Lunch at Northamptonpublished at 12:42 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Northants 339 v Surrey 26-1

An action-packed morning with 116 runs and seven wickets.

Surrey are 313 behind and one down after the loss of Rory Burns.

  19. Lunch at Hovepublished at 12:34 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Sussex 220, Worcestershire 187-0

Lunch is taken at Hove, where the covers are coming on as Ed Pollock goes off on 98.

Jake Libby is on 77, the Pears have added exactly 100 runs in the session in 21 overs, they are now only 33 behind - and look well on course for a big first-innings lead.

  20. Postpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 13 September 2022

    Yorkshire 134 v Essex 67-3

Essex are halfway towards Yorkshire's first innings score as Dan Lawrence and Matt Critchley look to rebuild.

The visitors are probably marginally ahead at the moment, but a couple of quick wickets and that could easily change.
