Northants v Lancs 39-2

Still Northants on top after the first six, Lancs having chosen to bat.
Middlesex 51-2
Dan Worrall comes in again and left-handed John Simpson finds a gap at mid-wicket for four runs. Worrall varies his pace intelligently and Middlesex can only manage singles from his remaining deliveries. The current run rate is 8.5, though, so a decent foundation has been laid.
Northants v Lancs 27-2
Just three runs from the fifth over.
What a powerplay this is for Northants.

Nice to see a packed house now and people have been able to get in after the tube troubles earlier - the balconies opposite are full of fans enjoying the evening sunshine.
A couple of early wickets have got these Surrey fans going, they've grown very accustomed to seeing their team win here this season.
Middlesex 44-2
John Simpson is the new Middlesex batter as Gus Atkinson takes up the attack for Surrey. Simpson has a big swish at one that is just short of a length and is fortunate not to nick through to the keeper.
Far less effort is involved as Simpson simply steers the next one down to third man for his first boundary.
One over left in the powerplay.
Northants v Lancs 25-2
A second wicket for the hosts and Keaton Jennings who had just begun to move Lancashire along a little, falls.
Both openers gone now.

It was entertaining while it lasted from Joe Cracknell but the big shot didn't have it all and Jordan Clark makes the catch.
He fell into the trap, he's put it straight down the fielder's throat.
Northants v Lancs 24-1
Keaton Jennings finds the fence with the final two balls of the over.
A wicket but 11 from the set, much-needed for Lanky.
Cracknell c Clark b Worrall 19 (Middlesex 36-2)
It's the first Surrey change and Dan Worrall has the ball, which disappears past mid-off as Joe Cracknell smacks his first delivery for four.
Cracknell is far less confident as a rapid bouncer has him taking evasive action. Did that clip the top of the helmet, it may well have done?
Worrall follows it with a slower ball and Cracknell holes out to Jordan Clark at deep backward square. An important wicket for Surrey.

Super fast start from Yorkshire at Chester-le-Street, with the White Rose racing to 50-0 in just 3.3 overs against Durham.
Adam Lyth has reached 37 not out from just 16 balls, including a six and six fours.
Rob Yates is always going well for Birmingham Bears, with two maximums in his 37 not out off 17 balls.
The Bears are 43-1 off four overs at Notts Outlaws.

Northants v Lancs 15-1
Jimmy Neesham with the fourth over and he strikes third ball.
The pressure of the tough start tells and Josh Bohannon walks off with a failure.
Middlesex 26-1
Great shot by Stevie Eskinazi, who walks across his stumps and flicks Jordan Clark away behind square for six.
He scampers a quick single as the bowler tries to kick the ball into the stumps in his follow through - Clark clearly isn't left-footed - and takes two to fine leg to end another productive over.
Northants v Lancs 13-0
Tom Taylor takes over from his captain and concedes only a leg bye from his first three deliveries.
Keaton Jennings finally finds the opening boundary of the game but this is a superb start from the hosts.

Max Holden departs, he didn't get hold of it at all.
It's a thick edge which didn't get far, went high and it's a very, comfortable catch at backward point.
Comfortably gathered up by Gus Atkinson.

Middlesex 15-1
Nothing like a bit of youthful confidence. Joe Cracknell takes a look at one and then deposits Will Jacks over the long-off boundary for the game's first maximum. A single ends the over and he keeps the strike.

One of the big games of the evening is the West Country derby between Somerset and Gloucestershire at Taunton.
And the hosts could not have had a worse start as Mohammad Amir removed Will Smeed for a third-ball duck.
Somerset 1-1 after two overs - yes, two overs.
There has also been early success for Leicestershire's Callum Parkinson, who bowled Brett D'Oliveira with the fifth ball of the first over to leave Worcestershire 11-1.
Holden c Atkinson b Jacks 3 (Middlesex 8-1)
Despite their seam bowling depth, spinner Will Jacks opens up from the other end for Surrey - and strikes with his third delivery.
Max Holden tries to give him the charge, but makes a hash of it and slices a catch to Gus Atkinson at point.
Northants v Lancs 6-0
Ben Sanderson sharing the new ball and also begins miserly.
Josh Bohannon and Keaton Jennings watchful so far.
Middlesex 6-0
Jordan Clark has the ball for Surrey and Stevie Eskinazi tucks him away through mid-wicket for two runs to get the Middlesex score moving immediately. A couple of singles for each batter follow and Middlesex will be content with that start.
