Matt Revis went the distance earlier, and now Jamie Overton smacks him for back-to-back sixes, the second of which is absolutely enormous.

It's great hitting. It's poor bowling.

    Surrey 103-5 (Target 161)

A much-needed six for Surrey! Jamie Overton pumps one straight back over Shadab's head.

Another dropped catch in the stands - that's two grand that's gone begging in this innings!

11 off the over. Yorkshire were 103-3 at this stage - it's neck-and-neck...

You can't keep Dom Bess out of the game. He loves a big match and he's come up with the goods, putting Surrey further on the back foot. They need a partnership to get them over the line.

    Dom BessImage source, PA Media

Dom Bess returns for the Vikings - might this be the over that Surrey look to target?

They do, but repeatedly find the boundary riders. Aaron Hardie, in a desperate attempt to break the shackles, sweeps hard and flat, but straight to the waiting Finn Allen on the boundary.

Jamie Overton strides to the middle - can he produce something special?

    Surrey 88-4 (Target 161)

Really good stuff this from David Willey, giving the batters absolutely nothing to work with.

Just four runs from the over, plus the wicket of Curran.

The required rate is now up to 10.42.

  6. wicket

WICKET Curran c Fraine b Willey 36published at 12.1 overs

    Surrey 84-4

But Curran falls to the returning David Willey!

A bouncer first up from the Yorkshire skipper, and Curran can only sky it to Will Fraine at long-leg.

Huge wicket in the context of this game.

    Surrey 84-3 (Target 161)

Imperious from Laurie Evans - no seeing himself in. Jordan Thompson drops short; the Surrey right-hander picks it up so quickly to smash it away for four.

Tom Curran is still there for Surrey on 36 from 27 balls. He finishes the over with a single to keep the strike.

That's a huge wicket. Shadab Khan is really delighted, a huge roar from him. That shot wasn't the best option by Ollie Pope.

Oof, Ollie Pope, that is lovely!

Down on one knee, he hammers Shadab for four through the leg-side.

However, he goes for the same shot next ball and top-edges it straight to Matt Revis on the boundary.

The England man slaps his bat with frustration as he walks off.

    Surrey 70-2 (Target 161)

Adam Lyth failed with the bat this evening, but is on to bowl his offies now as the Vikings look to rush through the middle overs.

Pope and Curran take eight from the over with some clever running.

Surrey need 91 from the second half of this innings...

  11. Postpublished at 9 overs

    Surrey 62-2 (Target 161)

Tom Curran gets a little bit of room and cuts the final ball of Shadab's over away for four.

    Most welcome for Surrey.

That was a very canny piece of bowling but it's brought out the local favourite, Ollie Pope. Such an exiting talent - he's a fantastic young cricketer.

  13. wicket

WICKET Burns b Shadab Khan 28published at 5.4 overs

    Surrey 57-2 (Target 161)

    Change of ends for Shadab.

Rory Burns missed a reverse-sweep, and top-edged a conventional sweep from the first two balls of the over, before he aims a big heave over midwicket.

Shadab pushes this one through flatter and quicker, and it skids through the Surrey opener's defences.

    Ollie Pope the new man.

  14. Postpublished at 8 overs

    Surrey 53-1 (Target 161)

Jordan Thompson, headband and all, replaces Shadab Khan as David Willey rotates his bowlers.

Thompson and Tom Kohler-Cadmore go up for a caught behind off the second ball of the over. It whistled past Curran's shoulder, and Yorkshire wisely opt against a review.

Curran then gets a pull shot away for four, before Thompson comes back well with successive dot balls.

  15. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Surrey 48-1 (Target 161)

Tom Curran heaves Dom Bess to the midwicket fence for four, and then Finn Allen lets one straight through his legs to gift Rory Burns four more.

Ironic cheers from the stands as he successfully gathers the next delivery.

    He looks furious.

  16. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Surrey 37-1 (Target 161)

Spin from both ends, as Pakistan star Shadab Khan comes on.

He shows great control to concede just two singles from the over, bowling plenty of googlies.

Surrey are two runs ahead of where Yorkshire were at this stage. All to play for...

  17. Postpublished at 5 overs

    Surrey 35-1 (Target 161)

Dom Bess enters the fray, and Burns spoons a reverse-sweep just over short third.

They've just said on the TV that a successful crowd catch is worth £1000 - heartbreaking stuff for that spectator...

A very solid start for Bess - just the two runs from it.

What an over for Surrey. We're in the powerplay and they are now making the most of it. That was a disappointing over by Revis.

Still no sight of spin from Yorkshire as Revis continues.

He strays on to Rory Burns's pads and is whipped away for four.

He then drops short, and is flicked for six over backward square. A man in the crowd rather comically drops a crowd catch to the delight of the Oval crowd.

Four more! This time for Tom Curran - too short from Revis.

And a six to finish as Curran slaps another short ball back over the bowler's head.

    22 from that over.

    Surrey 11-1

Yorkshire really struggled early on with this used wicket, and the hosts are having similar issues here.

Rory Burns attempts a slog-sweep to break the shackles, but spoons it into the on-side for a single.

Tom Curran then punches a full delivery back over Willey's head for the first boundary of the innings.
