It hasn't been the perfect batting performance after impressing with the ball and in the field. Perhaps they've been guilty of trying to go a little bit too hard?
Target 113
I'll be honest, I thought England would have won by now.

Jason Cole: Ah well, at least all England's batters are getting a hit.
ZS-NVB: It's a good job we're not chasing 150...
Need 10 to win
Jos Buttler is chatting to England assistant coach Paul Collingwood. The skipper still has a smile on his face. He won't be too concerned about the spluttering nature of the chase.

Surely a man of Moeen's experience will just get this done.
Need 13 to win
Moeen Ali has arrived, red boots and chewing gum. I suspect he wasn't planning on putting his pads on. He won't be thrilled that Liverpool have lost, either.

Some of the shots the England boys have played haven't been the smartest.

Holed out. That's not great. That was needless. He's just lofted a catch down long on's throat.
Brook c Zadran b Rashid 7 (Eng 97-5)
Erm, this isn't very clever from Harry Brook.
Under no pressure, he helps Rashid Khan straight into the hands of long-on.
It's hard to be too critical of England, the game was shaped by their first-half performance, but this chase has been anything but efficient.

You'd have to say the England boys are making a bit of a meal of this chase. But they have played some really good cricket out in Australia and where better to have a bit of a collapse than when you're only chasing around 100?
But for Afghanistan, they'll think that this isn't over yet.
Target 113
In case you're wondering, England move on to Melbourne for games against Ireland and Australia on Wednesday and Friday respectively. So a stern test followed by a meeting with the minnows of the group.

That was a nice shot from Livingstone through the covers but I must admit, I'm keen to see the batter at the other end. This could be the breakthrough tournament for Harry Brook.
Target 113
Livingstone leans back to slap Fareed through point for four. That's more like what we came to see. It's been a turgid last few overs.
The Good Pace for Radio podcast is back, and England duo Mark Wood and Tymal Mills were quick to tip up Harry Brook on this week's first episode.
When asked for a breakthrough player in ths tournament, Wood said: "Harry Brook. The field that the bowler sets, Brook almost knows what they’re going to bowl before they bowl it."
Mills added: "I’m going to join you on that one. Brook is young, it his first major tournament for England and hopefully he will have an impact in the middle order for England."
Target 113
Here's Harry Brook. England have a batting line-up as deep as the ocean.

Oh goodness me! That is top-notch fielding. A wonderful diving catch! An absolutely stunning take. Mohammad Nabi has delivered for his nation tonight.
Malan c Nabi b Mujeeb 18 (Eng 81-4)
That's another very good catch on a day of fine catching.
This time it's Mohammad Nabi, flying to his right at cover to hold Dawid Malan's back-foot force off Mujeeb-ur-Rehman.
England have laboured over this chase.

It's not missing by much. You can understand why Afghanistan would have a little look.
Eng 80-3
Yep, missing leg by so much that the review is lot. I fancy myself as an umpire.
