Raza c de Kock b Ngigi 0 (Zim 12-3)
What a catch by Quinton de Kock!
Lungi Ngidi bangs it in short and new batter Sikandar Raza goes for the pull, but he top-edges it behind and De Kock leaps to take a magnificent one-handed catch.

Lungi Ngidi would like that first ball back again. He just ambled in but he really came in and crashed the ball into the deck second delivery.
Chakabva c de Kock b Ngidi 8 (Zim 12-2)
Out next ball!
Regis Chakabva attemps another big shot but can only feather the ball through to Quinton de Kock.

That was a real warm-up delivery from Lungi Ngidi. It was right in the slot.
That's more like it!
It's a real loosener from Lungi Ngidi and Regis Chakabva dispatches it for six.

Craig Ervine got the exact ball that he wanted but it must have come off the toe of the bat.

This is not the start they wanted to a nine-over game.
Ervine c Ngidi b Parnell 2 (Zim 6-1)
That's out though.
Craig Ervine departs.
The Zimbabwe skipper needed to get on with it but his attempted heave goes straight to mid-on.

The lbw shouted actually ended up being closer than the caught behind.
Not out - it clipped off the pad. A check for lbw is also unsuccessful.
Chakabva survives.

I thought it was off the thigh pad.

He instantly referred that. He did it that quickly he must be sure he didn't get anything on it.
Left-armer Wayne Parnell opens at the other end and thinks he has Regis Chakabva caught behind - but Chakabva instantly reviews.

Kagiso Rabada had the ball in his hand and both of the batters were in the middle of the pitch and he had to choose which end to throw at. He chose the non-striker's end but his throw missed by about two metres.
Steady! The over nearly ended in chaos for Zimbabwe as Regis Chakabva and Craig Ervine hesitate over a single. Ervine slips as he went to make his way back into the crease but Kagiso Rabada misses with his throw.

It is hard to process what might be a good total but I would have thought 10 an over was a bare minimum.

That went straight through Craig Ervine. The ball seems to be zipping off this pitch nicely based on the two balls we've seen so far.
We have some cricket! Regis Chakabva chops the first ball of the match into the cover region for a single.
Ooh, Kagiso Rabada gets some zip next up and the ball fizzes through Craig Ervine. Good delivery.
Right, here we go.
Zimbabwe openers Regis Chakabva and Craig Ervine head out into the middle. Kagiso Rabada will open the bowling for South Africa.
