Come for the six, stay for the fella absolutely stacking it over the seats trying to catch it.
A huge blow from Balbirnie off Sam Curran.

England have still got work to do.
A lovely innings so far from Ireland's captain. Can he finish it off in style?
Seven from Adil Rashid's over. Ireland are setting themselves up for a big finish here.
Ire 113-3
A fine half-century from Ireland's captain.
He brings it up with a single to square leg. His scoring has slowed down since those two quick wickets but he's held the innings together very nicely.

Si Lomas: In big trouble here on a spicy pitch, utter filthy bowling from Woakes, going to have a big chase on a huge ground, inconsistency and penchant to leak runs with ball still remains in this side.
Curtis Campher is fine to continue. He looks remarkably calm for someone who's just been hit in the face at 93mph.

That was right at his nose. The helmet has stopped Campher from really being injured.
Curtis Campher slashes one over point for four and Mark Wood responds by smacking him in the helmet with a 93mph bouncer.
Straight into the grille. That didn't look fun.
Thankfully, he is fine - the physio comes on for a mandatory concussion check.

Ireland will have to retain their cricket smarts at the back end of this innings.

If England got one wicket, they were always going to be able to put Ireland under pressure.
Tector c Buttler b Wood 0 (Ire 103-3)
Two wickets in three balls for England and they're back in it!
Full and fast from Mark Wood and Jos Buttler takes a simple catch. Harry Tector goes without scoring but there's not much of a celebration from England, which perhaps suggests a bit of frustration at how they've bowled so far.
Disappointment for Ireland, who were cruising.

What a disaster that is for Ireland. Tucker was outstanding. It's a huge breakthrough for England.
Tucker run out Rashid 34 (Ire 103-2)
Would you believe it!? Run out backing up at the non-striker's end! What a way to go.
It's nothing but a soft push back to the bowler from Balbirnie, and Rashid dives, gets a finger on it and the ricochet back on to the stumps sees the end of Lorcan Tucker.
Unfortunate, but he's set up a lovely platform for Ireland.
England haven't bowled their best, but take nothing away from Ireland. They were put in to bat and have made the most of it.
Balbirnie 44, Tucker 32
A good over. Just five singles from it.

Robin Johnson: England getting tonked around the park here.
So with Ireland cruising, Jos Buttler turns to Liam Livingstone's spin.
Pace off the ball seems a good idea, given the treatment Chris Woakes just got.

There's a group of 100 or so Ireland fans on the far side of the ground from me. They're getting increasingly vocal.

These tactics just aren't working. The Irish in the crowd are going nuts. England are under pressure.
