England are breathing a little bit more easily, but one wicket heaps all the pressure back on again.

    Need 15 from 18 balls

Right, so England are set on taking this one to the last over, it seems.

And Wales have got to play the All Blacks later. It's not going to be a good day for my heart rate, is it?

Liam Livingstone won't want to watch this one again, I don't think.

I can't see Sam Curran doing anything stupid here. He's got a calm head. A sensible cricketer.

Sam Curran is a good player. He can bat, and that's why he has come in ahead of Dawid Malan.

  6. Eng 121-5published at 16 overs

    Need 21 from 24 balls

Maybe it's actually just a bit of evil genius from England to keep toying with Australia all the way to the last ball?

That was about a yard away from the fielder, and on another day he grabs it. A cry of catch it went up, but Ben Stokes has picked up four. I'm looking at some England supporters and they look a little bit tense.

  8. Eng 117-5published at 15.1 overs

    Need 25 off 29 balls

Ben Stokes, don't do this to me.

He smashes one just past a diving cover but thankfully it runs away for four. Phew.

What's going on? Don't they want to win this? Just knock them off! I can't believe how England have given their wickets away. It's a run a ball.

Ben Brady: Only England could bottle this.

Pete: Moeen doing Moeen things as usual.

Patrick Brennan: England making an absolute meal of this.

    29 from 30.

    It should be easy.

    It should be easy.

    IT SHOULD BE EASY.

At what point does the injured Dawid Malan have to pad up and come in?

Goodness gracious me, what is going on out there? Pressure, pressure, pressure. If Ben Stokes gets out here... Jonathan Agnew is as white as a ghost in the commentary box now.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.3 overs

    Moeen c Dasun b Dhananjaya 1 (Eng 111-5)

    I can only apologise.

You guessed it - another soft dismissal. I've no words to describe it, really, other than Moeen's just chipped it straight to the fielder at cover.

England's long batting line-up is really being put to the test now.

  15. Eng 110-4published at 14 overs

    Need 32 off 36 balls

    Right then. Positives.

Moeen Ali is the new batter, who is England's best player of spin.

Ben Stokes is still there, and we know what he can do in pressure situations.

DeeJay: Waste of a wicket, no need to play that shot. Just nudge it around. Poor.

Robert Weaver: 36 needed off 42 and Livingstone tries to hit it out of the ground. Why?

The Sri Lanka fielders look nervous under the ball. A little bit hot and sweaty!

But Dhananjaya de Silva held his there. As I said before, England have a lot batting to come, and Ben Stokes still there.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 13.1 overs

    Livingstone c Dhananjaya b Kumara 4 (Eng 106-4)

A relaxing Saturday morning watching England stroll to victory? Wishful thinking.

Another soft dismissal, and that's frustrating. Sri Lanka bring back the seamer and Livingstone tries to attack the pace with an almighty slog that flies straight down the ground, where Dhananjaya de Silva takes a fine tumbling catch.

Because this is such a good T20 side with so much depth you can almost afford Ben Stokes to be in there and just play. Most teams would have turned to someone else by now, but he's got time to find his role. There's always the sense that he will get it right at some point, and tear it up.

Jack Mendel: Big fan of Buttler's captaincy but I can't for the life of me understand why Moeen wasn't pushed up the order. He's our best player of spin in this form I'd argue.

Tim C: This is exactly the kind of situation which would be perfect for Dawid Malan…

Dave: England obviously don't want us to have a relaxing morning watching a stroll to victory.
