  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at Ball 77

    Benjamin c Kohler-Cadmore b Sams 4 (Phoenix 106-5)

A bizarre dismissal but he has to go! There was bat involved as Benjamin tries to flick it legside and a little top-edge took the ball onto the forearm and it looped up.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore came in to take the catch. I can only assume the review is because Benjamin thought it just went straight onto his arm?

  2. Phoenix reviewpublished at Ball 77

    Phoenix 106-5

Well, Chris Benjamin was on his way off for a caught behind but belatedly it seems to have been sent upstairs.

  4. Phoenix 104-4published at Ball 75

Samit battles back well, drawing a play and a miss from Livingstone and conceding only three more runs after that boundary.

Chris Benjamin is also capable of some very big hitting but he's not really got going as yet.

    Alex Hartley
Former England bowler on BBC Two

He's a hard player to stop when he gets going. He always gives himself a couple of balls to play himself in.

  6. Phoenix 101-4published at Ball 71

Livingstone is starting to motor now, down the pitch to Samit Patel and clubbing the ball over extra cover for four.

His sheer brutal power never fails to impress!

  7. Phoenix 96-4published at Ball 69

Sams has used his slower ball very well in this set but perhaps it became slightly predictable because this time, Livingstone is able to wait for it and thump it back straight for six!

That might be what the Phoenix need to kickstart their innings.

  8. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

The wicket of Moeen Ali was a big moment in this innings. The Phoenix captain was looking in the mood with three sixes in his innings, including two back-to-back off Matt Carter...

  9. Phoenix 86-4published at Ball 65

That's more like what we expected to see from Rashid Khan, a brilliant set that included three dot balls and just two singles.

The Rockets has pulled this back well but Liam Livingstone is still there for the Phoenix so it could all change again very quickly.

  10. Not outpublished at Ball 62

    Phoenix 85-4

No bat involved, in line... but bouncing over the top.

Liam Livingstone survives and the Phoenix breathe a sigh of relief.

  11. Rockets reviewpublished at Ball 62

Rashid Khan is back and there is a big appeal after Livingstone misses with a sweep.

The umpire gives it not out but the Rockets send it upstairs, this is a big moment.

  12. Phoenix 84-4published at Ball 60

Samit Patel rattled off 10 balls on the trot there and he has used all his experience to turn this game in the Rockets' favour.

    Brilliant from the left-arm spinner.

That was brave from Samit Patel and Lewis Gregory and it has paid off.

    Saqib Mahmood
    England bowler on BBC Two

Smart from Samit and Lewis, they brought mid-off up, which is something you don't see so much in T20s, and he's picked him out.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at Ball 58

    Mousley c Root b Patel 2 (Phoenix 83-4)

Dan Mousley's debut knock doesn't last long!

It was great intent from the left-hander, advancing to Samit Patel and he connected well enough with the shot - it was just straight to Joe Root at mid-off.

The former England skipper didn't have to move a millimetre.

There's a strong breeze and it maybe got caught up in it.

    Alex Hartley
Former England bowler on BBC Two

A brilliant catch, he's taken some good ones over the years and that is right up there, and there was good communication with the other fielder.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at Ball 55

    Hammond c Hales b Patel 28 (Phoenix 81-3)

Fantastic catch in the deep! It looked like six when it left Miles Hammond's bat but Alex Hales sprinted around from long-on and dived to take a brilliant catch.

The ball was only a few inches off the ground when Hales took it, superb.

  19. Missed stumping with Livingstone on 8published at Ball 52

A real let off for Liam Livingstone, he charges Samit Patel and has a big swing and a miss but Tom Kohler-Cadmore is unable to take it and the stumping chance goes begging!

    How costly will that be?
