The Phoenix will take that, 10 runs from Rashid's set of five.

More good running from Hammond allowed him to get back for two before he gets a bit of luck to add one more - an under-edge that gets past the wicketkeeper.

We're reached the halfway stage and the Phoenix look well set.

That was a freebie for Livingstone, we talked about his six hitting ability and Rashid Khan's given it to him on a plate.

  3. Phoenix 75-2published at Ball 46

One ball is all Livingstone needed to get himself in, he sends his next over the ropes for his first six of the tournament!

A rare bad delivery from Rashid Khan - a full toss - and Livingstone was not going to miss out.

  4. Phoenix 69-2published at Ball 45

A very good five from Gregory costs just four runs and, crucially, included the wicket of Moeen Ali, who had been looking so good.

It's a quiet start from Livingstone, just nudging a single to get himself off the mark.

Good news for the Rockets: Moeen Ali is gone.

Bad news for the Rockets: Liam Livingstone is in.

We'd just been saying about how good Moeen is against spin, then a seamer comes into the attack and gets the wicket straight away.

    Moeen c Rashid b Gregory 35 (Phoenix 67-2)

Big, big wicket! The spin wasn't working so Gregory brought himself back on and it's done the trick.

Moeen heaves the ball leg-side but this one isn't out of the middle and Rashid Khan is able to take the catch a few yards in from the rope.

That will come as a big relief to the Rockets.

Moeen's in such good form and he's just picking up from where he left off with England and that fastest fifty a couple of weeks ago.

  9. Phoenix 65-1published at Ball 40

The runs keep coming as the Rockets stick with spin.

Moeen carves Carter through the off-side for four and after a couple of near-misses for Hammond, aerial shots just evading the fielders, the opener drills the last ball back down the ground for four.

  10. Phoenix 53-1published at Ball 35

Only a single from Rashid's other four balls in that set. It really is an intriguing battle but Moeen looks locked in at the moment. Rockets beware...

  11. Phoenix 52-1published at Ball 32

SIX! It's first blood to Moeen in this battle! He's down on one knee and slog-sweeps, sending the ball high and handsome over deep-midwicket.

That sounded so good off the bat!

Rashid Khan is box office and for many batters, their worst nightmare!

  13. Postpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 6 August 2022

Here we go, Rashid Khan is into the attack. Arguably the best spinner in the world in white-ball cricket and he's up against Moeen Ali, one of the top players of spin on the planet...

Rockets captain Lewis Gregory brings himself on to bowl and it is a solid start from the seamer.

Just five runs conceded. There's a shout of 'catch!' as Moeen pulls the last ball into the deep but it falls short of the fielder.

    Carlos Brathwaite

He's such a good player of spin and he really maximised the last two balls of the powerplay.

    Phil Tufnell
Former England spinner on BBC Two

Great use of the feet by Moeen, picked the length, saw it early, and a free swing of the bat.

  18. Phoenix 41-1published at Ball 25

Beautiful! Moeen Ali down the track to Matt Carter and effortlessly hits the ball back over bowler's head and into the crowd for the first six of the day.

Six more! He doesn't quite get to the pitch of this one but adjusts and thumps it straight again.

A big finish to the powerplay and few players are better to watch in full flow than Moeen Ali. We could be in for a treat...

  19. Phoenix 24-1published at Ball 20

Wood ends his set with a short ball to Moeen, who pulls it away smartly to deep mid-wicket.

There's a fielder out there, though, and he has to settle for one. Just five balls left of the powerplay now - will the Phoenix try to take advantage?
