Jos Buttler and Eoin Morgan are very good friends, they live very close to each other too.

It's something that will take some getting used to - when you've been in the same dressing room together for as long as they have been, it will take some adjustment.

Jos is just finding his feet as England captain, and how he wants to take that team forward. Eoin will always be there for advice and to give him help if he needs it, but for now it's Jos' team and he will run it how he wants to.

A young and vibrant crowd are lapping up the sunshine in London as the countdown begins.

Australian Nathan Ellis bowled superbly in Spirit’s win over Invincibles, taking three wickets and in particular snuffing out a charge at the end with some skillful death bowling.

The enigmatic Andre Russell blasted three sixes in the Originals’ innings against the Superchargers, and he has some serious wheels on him with the ball in hand.

As well as taking part in the toss Harry Kane has been deep in conversation with Eoin Morgan too.

Kane has rocked up in a personalised London Spirit shirt.

Manchester Originals captain Jos Buttler: "We were going to have a bowl anyway. As Eoin was saying it's sort of 50/50, but with one short boundary we thought we could expose that in a chase.

"I actually thought we did a lot well in our first game, we were happy with the score we posted but there's just a few areas to tighten up on with the ball, we gave a few too many boundaries away so we could make them work a bit harder for those. We'll be working to target that today.

"Tristan Stubbs comes in for Ashton Turner today."

In their opening game of the campaign, Manchester Originals carried on where they left off last season... with a loss.

Jos Buttler's side were beaten by six wickets as Northern Superchargers eased to victory on Friday.

They have lost each of their last four games in the competition.

London Spirit captain Eoin Morgan: "We batted first in the last game and it did really well for us. We struggled on this ground last year but the numbers on this ground are about 50/50 so no huge sway in the changing conditions so hopefully we'll post a good score early on.

"It was the all-round package in the last game. I know the game in the end was really tight and we missed a little bit of execution but showing the resilience to come back from that and get us over the line still - the guys were magnificent in the method to get that big total and the way we started as well. It is going to be hard to compete with that throughout the tournament but it is a template."

London Spirit's first game of the season went down to the wire as Eoin Morgan's men beat Oval Invincbles by just three runs on Thursday.

Following a World Cup-winning leader was always going to be a tough for Buttler and since Morgan's international retirement, England have lost three limited-overs series out of four.

Of course, that's not all down to the captain but Buttler would no doubt still like to get one over his predecessor and great friend Morgan to prove it.

Buttler has had Morgan beat as a batter in recent times but the Irishman did show signs of a returning to form during the Spirit's victory last time out...

Now then! England and Tottenham Hotspur captain Harry Kane is in the house!
