    My days.

Adam Rossington, take a bow son.

He brings up his half-century with another six down the ground.

It comes up off just 15 balls, beating Adam Lyth's 17-ball record that was only set on Thursday.

We're seeing all sets of records tumbling this year.

Looks a completely different wicket to what we saw in the first innings. This is the type of passage that kills the game off before you get your leading bowlers on.

    Target 144

Poor delivery from Dwayne Bravo and Daniel Bell-Drummond just paddle sweeps it round the corner for his first boundary.

Bell-Drummond and Adam Rossington exchange singles to end the set.

Superchargers are going to need England leg-spinner Adil Rashid to do something very special here.

That is stand and deliver from Rossington and he is not showing any sign of letting up!

    He's gone again!

    Stand, whack, six.

    Adam Rossington is on fire!

He's on 45 off 12 balls. The fastest 50 is off 17 balls by the way.

  6. 6 runs

Spirit 41-0published at 85 balls left

Adam Rossington definitely has a reservation somewhere for a roast dinner.

After Daniel Bell-Drummond plays out two dot balls and a single, Rossington just effortlessly flicks Wahab Riaz off his legs for six more.

A dot ball finishes. That's almost surprising!

Don't worry about the pitch, just step and fetch it! Fantastic start for the Spirit.

    Three in a row!!

Adam Rossington goes downtown again and Roelof van der Merwe's first set for 22 runs. Rossing has 33 off nine deliveries.

London Spirit are his former side too. Not exactly the start he'd have wanted.

At this stage Superchargers were 2-0 and Spirit are 34-0. Just a tad ahead...

    Six more!

Whacked back down the ground again by Adam Rossington!

    Target 144

    Oh my.

Has Adam Rossington got a dinner reservation?

He cuts Roelof van der Merwe for four before plonking down the ground for the first six of the innings.

    Some intent.

Headingley is a very fast scoring ground. The boundaries are deceptively big but the ball races away.

    Target 144

I don't think there is any doubt about how London Spirit are going to go about this chase.

Adam Rossington works David Willey off his pads for four before whacking him back ground the down for a one-bounce four.

Proper stand and deliver shot that second boundary.

  13. Spirit 3-0published at 98 balls left

    Target 144

    Ufff!

This time David Willey draws the edge from Adam Rossington but Michael Pepper, wearing the gloves for Superchargers, can only tip it round for the post.

Adil Rashid does well to claw the ball back in and restrict Spirit to three.

What a sharp shooter Shabnim Ismail is. She picked the ball up and threw down the stumps like it was nothing.

A terrific knock from Freya Kemp comes to an end.

  15. Invincibles women need 154 to winpublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 14 August 2022

Three run outs in the last set of the Southern Brave innings, a direct hit from Shabnim Ismail doing for Freya Kemp (24 from 16 balls) before Georgia Adams (18 from 13) was short of her ground coming back for two.

Still that pair put on 45 to take the Brave up to 153-8, a competitive total. Sophia Smale was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2-12 from her 20 balls.

It is a flat track at The Oval so the Invincibles will still fancy their chances of chasing these down. Either way, it should be a good chase!

  16. Spirit 0-0published at 99 balls left

    We're off.

It is left-armer David Willey with the ball for the Superchargers.

He draws a play and a miss from Adam Rossington from the opening ball.

We've got a new opening partnership for London Spirit today too with Zak Crawley having left the camp to join up with England, ahead of their first Test against South Africa which starts on Wednesday.

It sees Daniel Bell-Drummond, who regularly opens for his county Kent so isn't new to the position, shunted up the order alongside Adam Rossington.

Bell-Drummond made 46 from 33 in Spirit's win against Southern Brave on Friday so he is in decent form.

  18. Postpublished at 15:51 British Summer Time 14 August 2022

Captain Faf du Plessis very much held that Northern Superchargers innings together and the late cameo from Adam Hose, that saw him add 30 off 14 balls, might have got the hosts up to a defendable total.

Early and regular wickets are going to be key though.

  19. Postpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 14 August 2022

    Thanks Georgie.

We saw Northern Superchargers women superbly defend 127 earlier, can their men now defend 143?

What do you think? Thumbs up if you think Superchargers will win, thumbs down if you reckon London Spirit will make it four from four.

  20. Postpublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 14 August 2022

Well the innings was nowhere near as hot as where I am sat right now watching. But if they can take those early wickets, this could be a low-scoring thriller...and who doesn't love that?!

I can hear an ice cream van so that's Georgie melted and sweatily handing over to Callum Matthews to take you through the chase.
