Sophia Smale has been brilliant so far. To have that sort of maturity and skillset at just 17. She has managed to get two very important wickets and really put Oval Invincibles on top.
After that flying start from Smriti Mandhana for the Southern Brave, Oval Invincibles have really fought back well.
The Brave are now 87-3 after 60 balls with Tahlia McGrath gone cheaply, dismissed by the impressive Sophia Smale.
The young spinner took 2-12 from her 20 balls. That's brilliant no matter who you are but it's even more eye-catching when you consider that she is only 17!
Perhaps a bit too much Pepper for London Spirit as they've gone for a strategic time out.
Or maybe it's just hotter than the sun out there right now. Spirit coach Trevor Bayliss has opted for the floppy hat if that's any indication of the temperature.
Du Plessis 40, Pepper 11
Pepper finally finds a rare boundary as he whacks Wheal into the leg side.
He then goes back-to-back fours as he cuts it just out of reach of the man at backward point.

You have to pick your bowlers, try to target the seam bowlers while they are on.
Du Plessis 39, Pepper 3
Glenn Maxwell is on the player mic talking about the legendary Shane Warne, who was coach of the London Spirit in 2021.
He is obviously hugely missed by the side and around the world and the spinners are playing a wonderful homage to him with this performance today.
Du Plessis 30, Pepper 2
London Spirit are completely in the driving seat on this turning wicket. Crane is completely spinning a web and Superchargers can't get him away.
Thompson is coming on to bowl while he tries not to think about the knock in the unmentionables a few balls earlier.

Mason Crane will have been a sponge around the great Shane Warne. He'll have asked all the questions and picked up all the tips.
Du Plessis 28, Pepper 0
Mason Crane is bowling beautifully. Pepper playing all around it. Completely deceived.
Crane will take another five.

A terrific piece of bowling from Sophia Smale. Danni Wyatt just couldn't find her timing throughout that innings.
Two very big wickets for Oval Invincibles in the last 10 balls. First Danni Wyatt and then Smriti Mandhana depart, both stumped.
While Wyatt struggled before charging past a good delivery from Sophia Smale, Mandhana had batted brilliantly and it took a superb ball from Mady Villiers to beat her in the flight.
The left-hander overbalanced and Lauren Winfield-Hill whipped off the bails.
Southern Brave women are now 75-2 after 45 balls with Tahlia McGrath and Sophia Dunkley in the middle.

He cannot help but take him on, he likes to go down the ground. He took on Crane, we talked about match ups before the match and Crane has come out on top.

Here comes a sprinkling of Michael Pepper!
Brook c Maxwell b Crane 12 (Superchargers 60-3)
That's 15 times in 37 innings that Brook has fallen to leg-spin. The match-up works again.
Du Plessis 27, Brook 11
Du Plessis has joined the party with a huge six!
Du Plessis 19, Brook 9
Brook is not hanging around on his return to the side. He launches Dawson back over his head for six. Spirit will know that his weakness is facing leg spin though so Morgan will be pondering that one.

When you get a wicket like that as a spinner early on, it gives you confidence for the rest of your spell knowing you can rip the ball.
Willey st Rossington b Crane 16 (Superchargers 38-2)
It came out of nowhere but great work behind the stumps. The googly from Crane breaks the partnership just as it was beginning to get going. This wicket really is turning and the Spirit have a great roster of spinners in their side.
