Can they do the same with the bat?
Target 123
What a start from the seamer Nathan Ellis. Just five runs and a wicket from his first five balls.
How crucial is he to the Spirit's hopes of defending this low total tonight?

Pollard moved for it early, and made it look really easy.

The Spirit have not given up this evening!
Hales c Pollard b Ellis 6 (Rockets 21-2)
Another huge wicket! The dangerous duo are gone and Nathan Ellis' fine Hundred continues.
Ellis vs Hales was our pre-match battle to watch, and it's pretty clear who's won it. Hales tries to hit him down the ground but completely miscues it.
Kieron Pollard safely gobbles up the catch and Spirit are buzzing.

Brilliant start and that is exactly what the London Spirit need if they have any chance of defending their low total.
Target 123
Chris Wood pulls back a bit of control for the Spirit with just two runs coming from his first five balls.
Dawid Malan is sat up on the Rockets balcony. No sign of a smile yet, unsurprisingly.
Spirit need to bowl like this.
How do you play that?!
Target 123
The choice to bowl Dan Lawrence for 10 balls in a row up front is baffling me.
Three consecutive fours from the bat of Colin Munro and the Rockets are flying all of a sudden.
Target 123
Hales makes up for it slightly by thrashing the third ball for four. It's a horrendous start but Rockets have a LOT of powerful batters.

A horrific start! Oh my goodness that is not the start we predicted!
Malan run out Dawson 0 (Rockets 0-1)
What do I know?! What a start for the Spirit!
It's an absolute disaster. Dan Lawrence opens the bowling which is rogue enough in itself, but Alex Hales dinks his first ball into the leg side, calls for a run that was never ever there, and Malan is stitched up completely.
He is remarkably calm walking off but I'd imagine he's raging inside.
Ugh. Imagine defending a low score of 122 and then you have to bowl at Alex Hales and Dawid Malan.
No thanks.
Spirit are going to have to bowl out of their skins if they are going to maintain their winning run tonight.
They started well, with skipper Eoin Morgan looking in fabulous form, but attention now turns to his captaincy and how he gets the best out of his bowlers.
Trent Rockets bowler Rashid Khan speaking on Sky Sports: "It's great to be back, it's not the amount of games I wanted, I wanted to play all the games. But I am happy to be here for a couple of games and hopefully we can finish well.
"It was a pretty good pitch for spinners, but length was most important thing, as long as you hit the right areas. But when you lose your length it was a good pitch and was easy for the batters to clear the boundary.
"I knew I had to hit the right length consistently.
"I always enjoy bowling to Kieron Pollard, it's always a special contest and a good challenge so it's nice to be on the right side of it and he didn't hit too many sixes! We know how dangerous he is.
"As a team we bowled really well and we are happy to restrict them to under 130. We have a good batting line-up so we just have to stay positive."
Thanks Georgie.
How good is it to see Rashid Khan back in action? Trent Rockets are already pretty good but he's able to make them even better.
A superstar.
Remember that we can't judge a pitch until both teams have batted on it so Rockets can't count their chickens just yet. But they might be able to start rounding them up ready for counting if Hales and Malan come out firing.
To see you through the chase, I leave you in the capable hands of Ffion Wynne.
London Spirit have been unbeaten so far in this tournament but they have really been put back in their box by that incredible performance with the ball by the Rockets.
They bowled well, they took their catches and there was also a one-stump-to-aim-at run out from Sams that seemed to even surprise him!
You just can't predict the Hundred can you?
Yes, Rashid Khan came away with three wickets and all the hype but it wasn't just him, it was an all-round performance from the Trent Rockets bowlers.

A turnout for the books I think considering the condition London Spirit were in. Trent Rockets certainly redeemed themselves. Without jinxing them this should be a relatively straightforward chase.
