Slower ball from Daniel Sams but it was just the length. It was in the slot that allowed Duckett to put his hands through it.
That will give him some confidence.
Kapow!
No-ball from Daniel Sams, free hit. Ben Duckett makes the most of it. It's a slower ball and Duckett pulls it cleanly for six.
Tom Moores is an eager beaver behind the stumps. He has the bails off after Ben Duckett attempts a sweep shot to Samit Patel, but the Fire batter's foot is well behind the line.

There's still some fight left in this Welsh Fire team.
That's a big 'un.
Matt Critichley waits for the ball to sit up from Samit Patel and absolutely biffs it into the stands for six. Huge!
More spin for the Trent Rockets as the extremely awkward and exceedingly clever Tabraiz Shamsi comes into the attack.
Two dots in his first three balls. Will Duckett go big? He backs away but is not able to get bat on it.
Shamsi's final ball spins big, too big in fact. It beats Duckett, the wicketkeeper and the fielders to race away for four byes.

There's some fireworks going off outside Trent Bridge.
Early celebrations perhaps in Nottingham?
A solid set from Trent Rockets captain Lewis Gregory with six runs taken from it as Matt Critchley and Ben Duckett push it into the gaps.

That is a lovely delivery and even better celebration. You can see him careering off to the boundary edge. Outstanding from Samit Patel.
Clarke st Moores b Patel 15 (Fire 38-1)
Canny bowling from Samit Patel as he spots Joe Clarke on the move and pushes the ball a little wider. It spins and beats the bat.
Rockets wicketkeeper Tom Moores has the bails off in a flash with Clarke out his ground, and he doesn't even attempt to get back.
Patel likes that. He is off sprinting, punching the air and pointing to the crowd. Not quite Imran Tahir, but not far off it!
Vastly experienced spinner Samit Patel comes into the attack for Trent Rockets. Joe Clarke and Ben Duckett happy to knock the ball into the gaps for singles for the time being.
Target 173
A tremendous diving effort by Lewis Gregory very nearly accounts for Joe Clarke after the Fire batter chips down the ground, but he's not quite able to get his hands on it.
End of the powerplay.

Perfect backlift, Perfect connection. That's a bit more like the Joe Clarke we are used to seeing.
Daniel Sams is a tad full and Joe Clarke takes a slight step forward and absolutely carts him over the boundary for six. That made a lovely sound off the bat.
Ben Duckett manages to skewer a wide full ball from Sam Cook the ball to the boundary despite a brilliant diving effort from Colin Munro on the line.
151 needed from 80 balls for Welsh Fire as Daniel Sams prepares to come into the attack for Trent Rockets.

At the same stage Rockets were 24-0. The intent Malan and Hales showed up top. That's the difference between the two sides.
Ben Duckett off the mark with a single to Luke Wood.
Joe Clarke is able to work the ball off his legs to scamper a couple of runs. The second was a bit close had the throw been direct from the fielder, but he's home.
Ben Duckett, one of the most innovative batters around, against the brute pace of Luke Wood should be a good battle.
Wood twice hits Joe Clarke on the pad, and Fire scramble a leg bye off the second to get Duckett on strike.
