  • Tuesday's matches: Spirit v Phoenix women (15:00 BST) & men (18:30 BST)

  1. Rockets 150-3published at 90 balls

That's a decent delivery to end from Jake Ball. A slower ball bouncer and a swing and a miss from Daniel Sams.

This is already an imposing total, but there are plenty more runs to come in the last 10 balls I suspect.

That was straight as an arrow. That would be dead in line with the wickets. What a shot, it was right in his arc.

  3. 6 runs

    Rockets 148-3published at 87 balls

Ha, ha, That is ridiculous. Is Daniel Sams aiming for the Trent?

He has sent the ball miles into the air for another massive six over long-off.

170 is definitely in Rockets' sights here.

  4. Rockets 141-3published at 80 balls

Daniel Sams is bringing out all the trick shots tonight. This time it is the scoop back over the wicketkeeper's head for four. Brilliant innovation.

A tough evening so far for George Scrimshaw. He ends with figures of 1-38 from his 20 balls.

Outstanding innings from Malan. It was an excellent catch under lights from Tom Banton, running around. What a knock, from one of the best batters in this format across the world right now.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 79 balls

    Malan c Banton b Critchley 58 (Rockets 131-3)

    Dawid Malan finally goes!

He goes for a big sweep towards the deep square leg boundary but it has not got enough on it to clear the rope and Tom Banton takes a smart catch. That was harder than it looked.

The sweeper on that cover boundary, David Miller, was only 10 yards out but it travelled. That was hit with some venom from Daniel Sams.

  8. Rockets 130-2published at 77 balls

Daniel Sams is hitting the ball so cleanly. A brilliant cut shot off Matt Critchley absolutely flies through the covers for four.

Sams races on to 17 from just six balls.

That was a lovely strike! It was a cross-seamer from Scrimshaw That was like a baseball hit. The second one has gone 96 metres! To hit that so cleanly against someone bowling 85 mph, that's excellent stuff from Sams. This is why he is sent in early. Phenomenal hitting.

  11. 6 runs

    Rockets 126-2published at 75 balls

That is even bigger! In fact, it is out of the ground from Daniel Sams!

What a massive hit that is. He has marmalized the ball over mid-wicket and out of Trent Bridge.

  12. 6 runs

    Rockets 120-2published at 74 balls

That is so impressive from Daniel Sams. He has rocked onto his back foot and swung so hard, powering the ball baseball style over mid-wicket for six.

  13. Not outpublished at 72 balls

Nope. The replays showed it was going over the top of leg stump. Daniel Sams survives.

  14. Fire reviewpublished at 72 balls

Daniel Sams is promoted up the order to maintain the left/right combination. But have they got him lbw first ball? Wicket keeper Joe Clarke is confident.

    Fire send it upstairs.

That's what Scrimshaw is known for! Extra pace and bounce. They need a few more of these.

It wasn't quite there for him due to the extra pace and bounce. Probably not the man they would have wanted but a wicket nonetheless.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 71 balls

    Kohler-Cadmore c Payne b Scrimshaw 10 (Rockets 112-2)

Tom Kohler-Cadmore goes! He looked to play a cut shot into the off-side but the ball fizzes off the top edge and into the hands of David Payne at deep third.

Kohler-Cadmore is into the act as well. He's in the mood now too. We were talking about how well Ish Sodhi has been bowling but he has been given a bit of a beating in these last five sets.

He has bowled better than that but got taken apart in the end.

  19. 6 runs

    Rockets 111-1published at 69 balls

Now Tom Kohler-Cadmore joins the party! He has smacked the ball back over long-on for another six!

That would take Malan to about 350 runs in the tournament! He is just so consistent, and he gets these runs so quickly as well.

That six was massive, the hang time on that. It went very high up in the air.
