Out of anyone in the Manchester Originals dressing room, the one person you'd want out there is Ashton Turner. Not only with bat in hand, but as a coach at the other end, he will be key to getting them a total.

Jack Rule: This is not looking good, not good at all! You can certainly say it’s less than an original performance from Manchester right now!

  3. Originals 70-5published at 55 balls

    Turner 22, Lammonby 10

Ashton Tutner has got plenty of experience in franchise cricket, especially in the Big Bash so Manchester Originals will be keen for him to stay out there for as long as possible i this innings.

Lammonby is a talented batter, too. They can still make a competitive total but the margin for error is now pretty much nil.

  4. Originals 66-5published at 53 balls

Top shot. Banged in short by Sams and Lammonby is onto it quickly. Pulled away in front of square for a valuable boundary.

It's about you can get to 120, 130, at least have a score on the board to chase down.

There's a big difference between how Tom Lammonby played that compared with Paul Walter. Lammonby got everything behind it.

    Lammonby 1, Turner 21

No hat-trick for Sami. Tom Lammonby eases the hat-trick ball down the ground for one.

Halfway through the innings and the Originals desperately need something from Turner and Lammonby.

The Rockets? They'll just be after more of the same.

He's just got a knack, Samit Patel. He's not got much mystery, not a lot of turn. Walter was just playing for the spin there and top edges. Dawid Malan wasn't going to drop that.

    Walter c Malan b Patel 0 (Originals 57-5)

Two in two balls for Samit Patel - he's on a hat-trick!

A very soft dismissal but the Rockets won't care. Paul Walter tries to turn the ball to leg, gets a leading edge and the ball carries to Dawid Malan for a very straightforward catch.

Whenever the ball goes into the air with the Trent Rockets you don't know the outcome. This time they were successful!

  12. wicket

    Stubbs c Moores b Patel 18 (Originals 57-4)

Another big wicket! Tristan Stubbs tries to sweep Samit Patel, gets a big top-edge and Tom Moores comes sprinting from behind the stumps and dives to take the catch.

It probably should have been a simpler catch but the communication between the keeper and Matt Carter wasn't great. All's well that ends well for the Rockets, though.

If you meander towards to 110 you still lose the game. This is their best chance of getting towards 140. They've gone on the counter-attack, they've gone more positive.

  14. Originals 57-3published at 45 balls

    Stubbs 18, Turner 19

The Originals charge continues and it is Turner leading the way. He nails a sweep shot off Matt Carter, into the gap, for four.

Also - and I did not expect to be typing this a few minutes ago - the running between the wickets has been very good.

I wonder if today is the most bucket hats ever worn at Lord’s. There were only a few teams’ hats left at the stalls earlier.

  16. Originals 49-3published at 40 balls

Turner and Stubbs have decided it is time to get a move on. It's risky but so far the luck is with them.

To start Gregory's set, Turner moves across his stumps and ramps cleverly over short fine leg. A few balls later, Stubbs takes on a short delivery, gets the pull shot all wrong but somehow the ball goes back over the wicketkeeper's head and away for four more.

  17. Originals 37-3published at 35 balls

    Stubbs 9, Turner 9

A better set for the Originals, mainly thanks to that big six, but just small shoots of recovery. Can the Rockets stamp them out, though?

They just need to rebuild here, create a partnership. We know Lord's has the lowest average of any ground in the tournament, so it's not all doom and gloom for the Originals.

  19. 6 runs

    Originals 35-3published at 32 balls

What was I saying!? That is right out of middle from Turner! He's down on one knee and slog-sweeps Samit Patel into the stands.

That's just a warning to the Rockets of what this Originals pair are capable of. They have no shortage of power.
