  1. Invincibles 2-0published at 5 balls

A watchful opening couple of balls from Lauren Winfield-Hill before she scoops Bell out to the square boundary for a single.

Bates swings and misses before nabbing a single of her own.

The Brave can afford to get themselves settled here, although a few quick wickets after a slower start could suddenly put them under pressure

The Oval Invincibles opening pair of Lauren Winfield-Hill and captain Suzie Bates have emerged through a fog of dry ice.

Lauren Bell will be opening bowler for the Brave. Here we go!

Amanda-Jade Wellington has taken wickets and been economical. She is going to be key.

Which end she bowls from will be interesting too with the slope at Lord's.

David Shervington: It's going to take a mighty effort from the Brave bowlers. I'll say this though, it's interesting to see a narrative starting to form around the teams this year. Invincibles sneaking through. Brave throwing a crucial match. Welsh Fire always losing. Etc.

    Thanks Sam.

While we wait for the teams to return, why not cast our mind back to when these teams met in the group stage?

It was a win for the Brave that day as Invincibles failed to chase down 153, falling 12 runs short.

Is there any chance of a repeat today? The total is considerably less formidable.

This photo just about sums up how the sides will be feeling at the halfway stage.

Joy for the Oval Invincibles, despair for Southern Brave. There is still plenty of time for that to be flipped on its head, though.

It's over to Mike Peter to take you through the Invincibles chase. Can the Brave really come back from here?

Sophia Smale has a knack of taking important wickets. She got the wicket of Smriti Mandhana at a key time too.

Sophia Smale talking to BBC radio: It was a bit nerve-wracking at the start. I knew I had to pull it back and I did that in the last ten balls.

The girls are very confident chasing. Although it's a run a ball they'll go out and try to get it done.

My grandad's sat up there, I gave him a big fist pump when I got my wicket. I think I've got my uncle and all his family here as well.

Marizanne Kapp: 1-19 from 20 balls

Sophia Smale: 1-25 from 20 balls

Shabnim Ismail: 2-12 from 20 balls

Mady Villiers: 0-12 from 10 balls

Alice Capsey: 2-17 from 20 balls

Eva Gray: 1-12 from 10 balls

It's been a mighty bowling effort from the Invincibles. They've executed their skills and taken wickets regularly.

  12. 100 runs

    Brave 101-7published at 100 balls

What a fantastic effort with the ball and in the field from Oval Invincibles. Just four singles from the last set from Gray.

Brave sneak into three figures but they will know that they're some way below par. It will take a mammoth bowling performance to win from here.

The Invincibles look to be halfway to retaining their title.

  13. Brave 97-7published at 96 balls

Run-out chance! Bouchier wanted a single after defending Gray's first ball of the set.

Shrubsole came through for it, was belatedly sent back but Winfield-Hill's throw is off target and there is no-one at the stumps.

After all that, it's a dot ball.

Brave are desperately trying to find a boundary here.

The Oval Invincibles know their strength is spin. They kept control and never felt as though Southern Brave had any bit of rhythm. It was only a matter of time that one wicket became two and so on.

  16. Brave 97-7published at 95 balls

Excellent from Kapp, using her slower balls to great effect.

The one mark against the Oval Invincibles is that they have missed the cut-off time and will have to bring an extra fielder into the circle.

With five balls to go and the position they're in, that won't concern them too much.

They really are slipping away. The defending champions are really all over the Brave.

Suzie Bates is one of the best fielders in the world but she always seems to end up on the floor whatever the type of catch. She did a sort of slide tackle for that one.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 91 balls

    Wellington c Bates b Kapp 2 (Brave 94-7)

Banged in short by Marizanne Kapp and just flapped into the covers by Amanda-Jane Wellington. Another one down.

It was a nothing shot really from the Australian and Suzie Bates took the catch on the slide.

There are some glum faces on the Brave bench. Charlotte Edwards has got her work cut out to lift them before the second innings.

  20. Brave 94-6published at 90 balls

Ismail is done, 2-12 from her 20 balls. That is seriously impressive.

Southern Brave need a very big last 10 to give themselves a chance in this one. Can they claw their way up to 120? It would take some doing.
