Spirit did so well to get up to 155 but as we saw last night, chases like this can become straightforward. You've got to take wickets and back yourself up in the field.

  2. Brave 30-0published at 80 balls left

Need 126 more runs to win

There's no stopping Danni Wyatt at the moment. Megan Schutt returns to the attack but the Aussie is soon sent packing by the swinging blade of the England opener.

Wyatt looks utterly focussed and well up for this.

Danni Wyatt is dealing in boundaries!

  4. Brave 25-0published at 85 balls left

Need 131 more runs to win

More pain for the Spirit. A misfield lets Wyatt get her first four before she clubs another back over the bowler's head for a second boundary.

It's a sketchy start in the field from those in blue. The Brave were pretty good earlier...

    That really is poor.

  6. dropped catch

Mandhana dropped on fivepublished at 88 balls left

    Down! That's gotta be taken.

Smriti Mandhana should be slumping back to the dugout but instead Naomi Dattani has put down a catch above her head. It would have been an early wicket for young skipper Charlie Dean too.

    How costly will that prove?

  7. Brave 16-0published at 90 balls left

    Need 140 runs to win

How has Danni Wyatt got four there!?

Everyone's reaction tells the story. Bowler Davies has her hands on her head, the wicketkeeper's arms are in the air while Wyatt has a sheepish grin on her face.

She almost edged the ball onto her own stumps but instead has four more runs to her name.

That is a lovely pick-up from Danni Wyatt, she read the line of the ball so early.

  9. 6 runs

Brave 12-0published at 94 balls left

    Target 156

It's over to England bowler Freya Davies for the Spirit now. She's bowling to her international team-mate Danni Wyatt.

Davies' first ball is decent but her second is whacked by Wyatt for the first six of this chase!

    Game on.

There's a lot of power in this batting line-up, but Megan Schutt likes to take early wickets.

  11. Brave 6-0published at 95 balls left

Shot! Smriti Mandhana is away despite some hooping swing by Schutt. The ball is clattered for an early four and the response by Charlie Dean is to send a fielder out into the deep to roam that boundary.

    Target 156

21-year-old Dean's first decision as captain is to hand the new ball to Aussie international Megan Schutt.

    That's a pretty obvious one.

    Away we go.

The first game here as captain for Charlie Dean. It will be a fantastic opportunity for her. She is very fortunate to have some great players alongside her - there is some other good leaders in this Spirit side. They will definitely feel they've got a total they can defend here.

The London Spirit players are lingering by the boundary edge in their royal blue kits.

Smriti Mandhana and Danni Wyatt have just emerged from the tunnel through a cloud of dry ice.

It is a good score. If Spirit can take early wickets and expose the middle order then they will be well in the game. The pitches are so good and outfields are so fast if teams get a bit of momentum it is really difficult to stem that flow of runs.

For Brave to win this they'd have to pull off the highest chase in the women's Hundred - a small sample size I know.

Wyatt, Mandhana, Dunkley, Bouchier is a tasty top four, however. If anyone can...

    Thanks Ffion.

That was special from Beth Mooney. She got a handshake from pretty much every Brave player at the end there.

Well, that was fun! I think we're in for a great chase here. Southern Brave boast a lot of decent batting, but London Spirit have a solid bowling line-up to counter them.

To take you through it, here's Matt Henry.

This game is really on. This Southern Brave batting line-up is very fiery.

Ah, it's not to be! But what a phenomenal innings from Beth Mooney who finishes 97 not out from 55 balls. She raises her bat to the crowd, who are soaking up the Southampton sunshine.

    Pure class.

Southern Brave need 156 to win.
