An optimistic lbw shout against Sophia Dunkley ends the set.
Alex Hartley has only conceded six runs from 10 balls so far. She's bowling really nicely.
Alex Hartley on the player mic: "That's what you call a cricket-ball sandwich."
Oh no!
Spinner Alex Hartley, who is on the player mic, says that she expects Danni Wyatt to sweep and right on cue she gets down on one knee and plays the shot.
It goes straight towards Lauren Filer but the ball goes through her hands and hits her on the chin.
We're just going to have a slight delay, but she seems OK to continue.
Alex Hartley on the player mic: "I think the pitch is a belter. We're hoping it grips and turns for us a bit later."

Sophia Dunkley is the sort of player that commits to every shot. So even if she doesn't get it cleanly, it goes through to the boundary.
Back-to-back boundaries for the Brave and Sophia Dunkley.
She throws her hands at a bit of width from Lauren Filer and the ball races away off a thick edge, before she climbs into a pull shot and crunches away.
Fire won't want her to get settled. She could propel Brave to a massive total if she bats for any length of time.
End of the powerplay. Brave will be happy with that.
A nice, tidy start from Alex Hartley, conceding just two singles from her first set of five balls.
Fire are dragging this back nicely in the last 10 balls or so.

Boundaries are too small for the ladies. They are exceptional players and it's insulting that they are so small at some grounds!

England's Sophia Dunkley is in the new batter and she misses out on a juicy wide ball first up.
We're going to see our match-up now as left-armer spinner Alex Hartley comes into the attack. Dunkley can struggle against spin, particularly first up in her innings.

That's a big blow for the Southern Brave. Mandhana has been the form player for them.
Mandhana c Carey b Sutherland 13 (Brave 28-1)
Ah, I've cursed her!
Smriti Mandhana looks to go down town again but skims it straight into the hands of Nicola Carey, who is into the team today.
Fire needed that.

Former England batter on BBC radio
There was such confidence in that shot. To play something like that to someone of Sutherland's calibre was phenomenal really.
I absolutely love watching Smriti Mandhana bat.
She comes down the pitch and lofts Australia's Annabel Sutherland back down the ground for another four.
A glorious shot.

She was looking to finish the set with an inswinging-yorker. Danni Wyatt did well to get some bat on it.
Ah. As is so often the case in white-ball cricket the final ball ruins a good set from medium-pacer Lauren Filer.
There's a bit of swing there for her but it works into Danni Wyatt's favour as she nudges round the corner and it beats the dive of Alex Hartley and goes to the boundary.
A very good start from Brave.

You have to try and be secure in the inner-ring during the powerplay. If it beats you, there's no one behind to stop it.
Whatever Danni Wyatt can do, Smriti Mandhana can do it too.
She advances down the pitch and turns the delivery from Claire Nicholas into a full toss and hits it over the top for a two-bounce four.
A quick single ends the first set. A brilliant start for the unbeaten Brave.

The Southern Brave have not yet lost a wicket inside the powerplay in this year's competition.
Lovely start from Danni Wyatt.
She takes a step down the track and hits Claire Nicholas back over her head for a one-bounce four.
That's some intent from Wyatt.
Oh no, it's a no ball too.
