Beaumont rocked back beautifully and pierced that gap between short third and backward point.
Tammy Beaumont is fed up of watching her opening partner have all the fun.
Four more, this time off Megan Schutt. Spirit just struggling for consistency here - any good balls are followed by some width and the batters are putting them away nicely.

Back to back boundaries for the Fire. Sarah Bryce is looking like she's in top touch.
And again!
Dean is just bowling too short and Bryce is picking off the runs with ease. It's a good pitch and fast outfield and with the boundary sizes, as soon as you get it past a fielder, it's four.
Different bowler, same result.
Carved away for four by Sarah Bryce.

Charlie Dean's got an outstanding cricket brain.
In search of that early wicket, captain Charlie Dean turns to her strike bowler.
Herself.
Sophie Luff on the player mic: "It's very warm, I've got plenty of sun cream on.
"Ideally we want to pick up a couple of wickets and put pressure on them.
"I think it's a really good deck. Looking forward to bat on it."
Shot! Sarah Bryce looks well at home at the top of the order as she thumps Freya Davies away for another boundary, this time over the fielders on the off side.
That was nailed.

Terrific diving effort but it's another four for the Welsh Fire.

There will be happy memories for Sarah Bryce here. She was with the Oval Invincibles last year and they won the trophy here.
Sarah Bryce helps herself to her first boundary off Freya Davies' bowling.
A confident start for the openers.

Beaumont was trying to play the same shot that got her the boundary a couple of balls ago.
Close! Beaumont almost chops the ball on to her stumps, resulting in oohs and hands on heads from the Spirit fielders.
Fire's batting hasn't... um, fired at all in this competition but Beaumont's wicket is the prized one.

Waited on it nicely, hint of premeditation about it but she played it well.
Yep, Tammy Beaumont is up for this.
Down on one knee, ramps Megan Schutt over her shoulder for four more. Lovely.
Grace Ballinger recovers well, but it's Australian Megan Schutt to bowl the second set and this will be a great challenge for the Fire openers.
And Beaumont thrashes the second for four! An emphatic start for the captain, who looks as if she's got a point to prove today for her winless side.

Great moment for Ballinger to be making her debut. I've played with her since I was nine.
Grace Ballinger starts with the ball for Spirit, and Sarah Bryce clips the first ball away for a single to begin proceedings.
