A tidy start from Bell concedes just two but there isn't as much swing as on day one. Steyn neatly flicks the last ball of the over through mid-wicket for the first runs.
Laura Wolvaardt will face the second over from Kate Cross.

It's raining in the distance...it's like looking over at Mordor.
It'll be Lauren Bell with the first over.
Another positive move from Heather Knight as Bell got some extravagant swing on day one. She starts with a dot ball, solidly defended by Andrie Steyn.

It will be an England team on the attack as they come out with the ball. That's a positive declaration and what I would have done.
It was an attacking move by Heather Knight. You'll see them come out and bowl aggressively with catchers behind the bat. They'll get five or six overs before lunch so this is really positive.
It's a period you really hate as a batter having been in the field for so long too.

You can't take that new ball off Cross or Bell. They both started so well in the first innings and hopefully if England can take a few before lunch then it will set them up nicely to try and win the game.
A lead of 133 may seem a bit low, but there is rain forecast so that's an aggressive declaration from Heather Knight, thinking with a result in mind.
And it will not be easy for South Africa. They are not used to playing Test cricket and there were some very tired bodies out there. If they can make it through to lunch without losing a wicket they will be pleased but it won't be straightforward against the new ball.
169 not out.
263 balls.
21 fours.
Class.

Maybe in the back of Knight's mind with rain around she wants to give time to bowl them out. They've got a few difficult overs to have to navigate now as we go to lunch.
And on that note, Heather Knight calls her batters in and declares with a lead of 133. One eye on the weather forecast, perhaps?
Nat Sciver is left stranded on 169 not out. Combine that with her unbeaten 148 in the World Cup final and that's a lot of runs. And a decent average.
South Africa will have a very tricky 20 minutes to survive before lunch with the new ball.
Cross run out de Klerk 1 (Eng 417-8)
Oooh, that replay wasn't the most conclusive but Kate Cross has been given out. It looked like her bat was just hovering in the air ever so slightly as the bails came off.
Has Kate Cross been run out? She was very casual getting back into her crease at the non-striker's end after Sciver turned down a single.
She could be in trouble here.

Ecclestone played nicely this morning in that partnership with Sciver. It brings Cross to the crease and we know what she can do with the bat so she'll be looking to do the same at Ecclestone and continue to pile on these runs.
Ecclestone lbw Mlaba 35 (Eng 414-7)
Crashing into leg stump.
South Africa finally have their breakthrough and it's a good response for Mlaba having been smoked for four the ball before. Just back of a length and Ecclestone tries to turn it into the leg side for a single but is struck on the front pad.
A fine partnership.
But she's given out next ball!
Anna Harris has had a fine game as umpire but Ecclestone has reviewed it, albeit with a wry smile on her face.
It looks very out - Ecclcestone playing back to a straight one.
Hello! Ecclestone skips down the pitch to the spinner and thumps it back over her head for one of the most powerfully struck boundaries we've seen yet.

You can only assume this wide line from Kapp is to stem the run flow. The pitch looks slow and the batters are finding it hard to time as they go for the big shots, so bowling it wide makes it even harder. She's got the protection out on the boundary but it's not going to break the partnership.
Lead by 126
Nobody's safe when Nat Sciver is in this kind of mood - she almost takes out a group of seagulls at mid-on.

Sciver is going into ODI mode now.
Sciver survives a close lbw shout first ball from Mlaba that was probably just outside the line, before charging down the pitch to the spinner and elegantly carving it over mid-off for four more.
England bring up the 400 and stretch the lead to 121.
