    Wolvaardt lbw b Dean 56 (SA 86-2)

That's the big one, Dean gets Wolvaardt again!

Wolvaardt was looking in excellent form but we had see her start to get a little bit frustrated in the past over or two. She goes for the sweep, misses and is hit plumb in front.

She doesn't even contemplate a review, she knew it would be a waste. What an impact Charlie Dean has had.

Kate Cross hasn't done a lot wrong there. That is one of the shots of the day.

  3. SA 81-1published at 14 overs

    Target 372

Just as there were signs of frustration from Wolvaardt after being kept quiet for a couple of overs, the South Africa opener drills the last ball of the over back down the ground for four. Sumptuous.

It will be in Laura Wolvaardt's mind that Charlie Dean has got her out twice in this series.

It does play on your mind when a bowler has that over you. She will also be disappointed she hasn't got a big score yet so she'll be desperate to kick on here.

Charlie Dean has also got the only wicket to fall so far in this South Africa innings.

She bowled Andrie Steyn with her very first delivery.

  6. SA 80-1published at 13 overs

    Goodall 11, Wolvaardt 52

Another good over for England, this time it's Dean keeping South Africa to just a couple of runs.

That required rate is just creeping up again.

I don't think that had much going for it. It was only a half-hearted appeal from Kate Cross.

  8. SA 78-1published at 12 overs

Kate Cross will be far happier at the end of that over. Just two from it, although there was a bit of a stare for Lauren Bell at fine leg, Cross clearly not convinced there should have been two there after Goodall's flick.

There was an appeal a couple of balls earlier for lbw, given not out and there was a chat about a review before Knight decided against it. Good decision, it was pitching outside leg and might have been a touch high too.

The way it's gone so far in the series is that Laura Wolvaardt gets out and South Africa fold afterwards.

So England know how key her wicket is.

England were 66-0 after their first 10 overs. South Africa are keeping up nicely.

The worm shows South Africa are three runs ahead of England. South Africa are 69 for 1 after 10 overs. At the same stage England were 66 for 0.Image source, BBC Sport

Very smartly played by Lara Goodall as Dean fires one down leg, the left-hander gets some bat on it to help it away fine for another boundary.

South Africa aren't going anywhere just yet.

A shame for Kate Cross, she was coming back nicely having conceded 16 from her first over but that was a tired delivery.

I love watching Laura Wolvaardt play that shot, though.

That is a poor ball but it has been ruthlessly put away by Laura Wolvaardt.

    A handsome way to reach a half-century.

    SA 69-1

A superb innings so far from the South Africa opener and the half-century comes up from just 36 balls with another glorious shot through the off-side. That's her 10th boundary already.

It ruins what had been a much improved over from Cross, that ball was just there to be hit, though, and Wolvaardt wasn't missing out.

It must be quite unusual to get a first baller when you're batting and then take a wicket with your first ball bowling.

That's one for Phil. Not as if he's had much to do today.

  16. SA 63-1published at 9 overs

    Target 372

Really good over from Charlie Dean, a wicket first ball and only two singles conceded from the next five.

Just the sort of impact England were hoping for.

That's not a bad start! Compare that to poor old Crossy at the other end.

Charlie Dean's just lobbed one up and clipped leg stump first ball!

  19. wicket

    Steyn b Dean 12 (SA 61-1)

The drinks break does the trick for England - Charlie Dean strikes with her first ball!

Andrie Steyn was down the pitch to the off-spinner, who may have seen her coming.

Either way, it was fired in by Dean, Steyn was cramped for room and the ball thudded into leg stump.
