Richa Ghosh is a talented batter. I spoke to Smriti Mandhana about her during The Hundred and she was amazed she wasn't selected for the Commonwealth Games, and says she is one batter she stays behind to watch in the nets.

It shouldn't be this surprising to see a boundary in a T20 but that's how well England have bowled and fielded.

But it's a lovely shot from Richa Ghosh, just guiding a short ball from Freya Davies down to the third boundary.

This was a lovely piece of bowling from Sarah Glenn to dismiss India captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

  4. Ind 58-6published at 14 overs

Bryony Smith finishes her spell with 1-19 from four overs.

None of England's bowlers have been put under any pressure all game.

  5. Ind 57-6published at 13.2 overs

    Four runs off the bat!

A rare sight. Bryony Smith bowls a bit too short and Richa Ghosh thumps it through the leg side for four very welcome runs.

When we talk about plumb lbws, that is one.

Rana lbw b Ecclestone (Ind 52-6)

A great review! You can see why the umpire wasn't interested as it was very close to the bat, and the bat also hit the ground.

But it's straight onto the back foot and replays show the ball would be hitting leg stump. India's hopes fade even further.

That's smashed her on the boot!

  9. England reviewpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 15 September 2022

Has Ecclestone got her wicket? She bowls very full and pins Sneh Rana on the back leg. The umpire isn't interested but Amy Jones fancies it.

It was a yorker and Sophie Ecclestone is unlucky. But it's a boundary at least!

Ecclestone can't believe she didn't bowl Rana there.

  12. Ind 52-5published at 12.5 overs

A boundary! It's four byes rather than coming off the bat but India won't mind.

Sophie Ecclestone finds some spin and it somehow evades the bat and beats Amy Jones, too.

  13. Ind 46-5published at 12.2 overs

Another exceptional piece of boundary fielding, this time from Sophia Dunkley.

The ball is hit firmly out to square leg as Sneh Rana sweeps hard. Dunkley knows she can't quite make the catch but instead slides and palms the ball down with two hands towards Danni Wyatt, who retrieves it and completes the throw.

A good shot, but still no boundary.

  14. Ind 44-5published at 12 overs

Another quiet over for England, as the bowlers just look like they're enjoying a net session at the moment. They are under no pressure at all.

And that's because of how good England have been with the ball and in the field throughout.

I think Sophie Ecclestone grounded her catch, and I don't think it was checked by the umpires. She catches it but I don't think she is in control of her movement. It was such a big wicket too.

I can't see where the firepower and six-hitting is coming from for India here.

  17. Ind 39-5published at 11 overs

Another quiet over, just the four singles from it.

India have just never got going. They just can't seem to respond at all when Verma and Mandhana are out cheaply.

England's fielding has been brilliant, with Sophie Ecclestone leading the way with this catch to get rid of Smriti Mandhana.

But did the ball touch the ground as she landed?

India are very hit and miss - they are a bizarre team. They can have an excellent day like they did in the last match and then play like this.

  20. Ind 35-5published at 10 overs

Sneh Rana blocks out the final ball from Glenn.

India have scored just two boundaries in 10 overs and they both came from Smriti Mandhana - who was out in the fourth over.
