  1. 50 runs

    Ind 54-1published at 8 overs

Smriti Mandhana has now scored more than 3,000 runs in ODI cricket after a pair of boundaries off Cross.

The first is guided down to deep third as the England bowler offers width and then an over-correction allows Mandhana to flick the ball fine off her pads.

This is a very good start for India despite losing Shafali Verma early.

Bell has been a touch expensive in the powerplay.

Lauren Bell's bowling: 7% full, 68% good length and 25% short. 4 overs, 0 maidens, went for 28 runs, took 0 wickets with an economy of 7.00.
  3. Ind 45-1published at 7 overs

Yastika is down the pitch again, this time to Bell, and again drives elegantly through the covers. She strikes this one all along the deck for her third boundary of the innings.

Lauren Bell's first four overs have gone for 28.

  4. Ind 40-1published at 6.1 overs

Smriti Mandhana makes batting look so easy. Bell overpitches slightly and the left-hander punches the ball effortlessly back down the ground. Another marvellous straight drive. Four more.

    Beautiful technique by Yastika.

Brilliant stop from Beaumont who gets an applause from her home crowd.

  7. Ind 36-1published at 6 overs

    Yastika 15, Mandhana 6

Mandhana drills another straight drive past Cross but this time, Tammy Beaumont gets across from mid-off and makes an impressive diving stop.

Four to end the over. Yastika shimmying down the track and driving powerfully through the covers. The ball was in the air for a while but, thankfully for India, it was wide of the fielder.

  8. Ind 30-1published at 5 overs

A very optimistic appeal for lbw from Lauren Bell. The ball pitched well outside leg, was probably going on to miss leg, too. Perhaps the only thing going for it was that the ball struck the pad. Leg bye.

Another appeal to end the over, this one might have been hitting the stumps but - again - it pitched well outside leg.

Just three from the over, though. An improvement for England.

  10. Ind 27-1published at 4 overs

It's another big over for India with Yastika quickly into her work and Mandhana now up and running as well.

Nine from Cross' over and - just as in the first ODI - the two left-handers are giving England some problems.

What a shot from Mandhana! And what a way to get off the mark.

  12. Ind 25-1published at 3.4 overs

Top class. Now Smrirti Mandhana is off the mark!

The opener walks at Cross and then unfurls a glorious straight drive, back past the bowler and the ball races away for four.

Shafali Verma wasn't at the crease for long but still managed to find the boundary a couple of times before she departed...

Mandhana is usually off to a flyer.

  15. Ind 18-1published at 3 overs

Lovely shot from Yastika Bhatia to start Bell's second over, driving the ball through point and away for four.

A single comes next ball before Bell ends with four dot balls to Mandhana, who is still to get off the mark. An unusually slow start from the India left-hander.

England looked for a moment they were celebrating but the ball just bounces before Lamb took it clearly.

  17. Ind 13-1published at 2 overs

Brilliant over from Kate Cross. Just one from it and the wicket of Verma - and it could so easily have been two wickets.

Smriti Mandhana pushed at a ball angled across her and the edge falls just short of first slip.

The next ball is flicked into the leg side and, initially, looks as though it has carried to Emma Lamb. But there is no celebration and the replays show it reached her on the half volley.

Through the gate! Beautiful delivery from Cross.

    Verma b Cross 8 (Ind 12-1)

Cross strikes on her landmark, 50th cap, day! It's a beauty from the England seamer, nipping back through the gate as Verma advanced and tried to prod the ball into the off side.

England wanted an early wicket and they've got it.

  20. Ind 12-0published at 1 over

An expensive first over from Lauren Bell. The England seamer struggles to find her line throughout the over with three wides - two of them sliding down leg - and a short, wide delivery that is eased through point by Shafali Verma.

The India opener gets four more from the next with another altogether more streaky shot. A thick outside edge goes well wide of slip and runs away to the fence at deep third.
