  1. 'Amazing to watch'published at 19:35 British Summer Time 25 September 2022

Pakistan captain Babar Azam: "Shadab said he was going to have a heart attack!

"The way we started in the batting, we were 10 runs short but came back. The way Asif Ali finished and the other bowlers was outstanding.

"Our middle order remains flexible and we went with the plan and executed it.

"Rauf is a key bowler and day-by-day he is improving and on his way to becoming Pakistani's leading bowler, it's amazing to watch."

  2. 'Hopefully there is plenty more to come'published at 19:34 British Summer Time 25 September 2022

England bowler Olly Stone, speaking on Sky Sports: "Obviously we didn't get the right result tonight but the atmosphere was great and has been all series. I love being out there and it makes all the hard work worthwhile.

"It obviously didn't go to plan with the bat. I tried to get bat on ball but that didn't happen. It's not nice to end the game that way but onto the next three games.

"I felt like my bowling went well. Out here it is tough to bowl, either side of the fielder and it's four so it teaches you to hit the right areas and think about what you're going to do. I love playing for England and hopefully there is plenty more years to come.

"It's nice to hit 90mph. I try go out there and try to be aggressive, if it comes out over 90mph then great."

  3. 'You have to be able to handle pressure'published at 19:30 British Summer Time 25 September 2022

Pakistan bowler Haris Rauf: "First of all, I just want to thank God that Pakistan won and the team got the confidence because we still have a few matches left.

"In my mind I didn't want to give up, I just wanted to take wickets.

"In this kind of international T20 cricket match, you have to be able to handle pressure. That's why you're selected and that's why I try to do my best and it worked well.

"I will speak to [Mark] Wood after the game. Wood can learn pace off me and I can learn slower bowls off him and it will be good for both of us. I really like him too."

  4. 'We should have chased that down'published at 19:25 British Summer Time 25 September 2022

England captain Moeen Ali: "Amazing game of cricket. Obviously it went both ways, kept swinging and it was just amazing. I thought the crowd were electric throughout the four games here.

"I felt like we should have chased that down. We're disappointed we didn't but we did lose a lot of wickets up top, kept hanging in there and Harry Brook played really well again.

"Then we lost another couple of wickets and Liam Dawson came in and the way he batted was outstanding. He had a brilliant game and I'm pleased for him. Sad that he couldn't get us over the line but these things happen. He played really well.

"With nine runs needed and three wickets left, you feel we should win that game but it happens, pressure happens. I actually thought they bowled really well. Both teams bowled really well and they managed to get over the line."

Mark Burt: This wonderful game is bonkers! Pakistan had it won, then England, then Pakistan. A great win that sets up series perfectly and, most importantly brings some much-needed joy to the nation. What’s not to love!?

Nigel Baker: If Dawson had crossed, rather than watching the catch, I think England would have got there. Rashid was charging down to get on strike.

Haris: Nothing teaches you patience better than being a Pakistani cricket fan.

That is what T20 cricket is all about. There were so many twists and turns and even within the last four overs of the match, both sides will have felt they had won it then lost it.

Ultimately, Pakistan took the win that look assured after 17 overs but lost at the end of the 18th.

It means we're all square at 2-2 in the seven-match series. The teams head to Lahore for the last three games and it might be time for England to bring back some of their big hitters, notably skipper Jos Buttler, if he's fit.

Liam Dawson looks distraught. His incredible knock of 34 from 17 balls - including 24 off Mohammad Hasnain in the 18th over - looked to have snatched victory for England.

However, when he was dismissed with five runs needed, the door was open for Pakistan. They barged through it thanks to Haris Rauf and that run out sealed a crazy win.

I need to catch my breath.
