Olly Stone will complete the set today. He has made three Test appearances for England and played in four one-day internationals.

He is one of a clutch of England fast bowlers to have been sidelined with injury over recent months - he hasn't played any competitive cricket since July because of a finger injury.

The Warwickshire bowler is the third player to make his England T20 debut on this tour after Will Jacks and Luke Wood.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam: "I think a score of 180 or 190 is defendable so we are trying to reach that.

"We have two changes today. Unfortunately, Haider Ali is not well so Asif Ali will come in. Mohammad Wasm Junior will replace Shahnawaz Dahani.

"It's an honour to play the 200th T20 match for Pakistan especially on home ground and under a home crowd. My favourite moment has probably been the World Cup."

England captain Moeen Ali: "We're going to be bowl just because it looks like it gets better under lights. We want to win games batting and bowling first so it doesn't really matter.

"We always believes that if a team gets 200 we're good enough to get more than that and if a team gets 230 then we're good enough to get more than that so we have that sort of mindset because we feel like we've got a very good batting line-up.

"We're going to have to bowl well up top and get some early wickets hopefully, put them under pressure and restrict that score.

On when England will play strongest XI: "It's just getting game time, some of the guys are coming back from injuries. Someone like Alex Hales is just coming back in so we don't want to rush anybody back in.

"Towards the end of the series we'll probably up the ante a little bit and play our strongest side."

  4. Three changes for Englandpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 25 September 2022

Moeen Ali has also confirmed three changes to the side.

Olly Stone does indeed come in for Mark Wood. Opener Alex Hales returns for Dawid Malan, with Will Jacks moving to three. David Willey also comes back for Sam Curran.

  5. England win the toss and will bowlpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 25 September 2022

England skipper Moeen Ali has called correctly and has chosen to bowl first.

  6. Stone to make England T20 debutpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 25 September 2022

We know there will be at least one change - Olly Stone will make his T20 debut.

The Warwickshire pace bowler has been handed his first cap by Chris Woakes.

Stone is likely to replace Mark Wood, who only made his comeback after six months out with an elbow injury on Friday.

Full team news to follow at the toss, which is about to take place.
