Yep, going well down leg. England burn another review, they've only got one left now.

  2. England reviewpublished at 94 overs

    Pak 291-7

Well, this looks like a wasted review from England.

A bouncer from Wood stays very low and hits Abrar Ahmed on the thigh as he crouched.

It wasn't bouncing over the top but still looks very optimistic for lbw.

This is huge. One of the longest reviews I can remember but Saud Shakeel is out. Was there enough evidence to overturn the decision? Joel Wilson thought there was not.

    Shakeel c Pope b Wood 94 (Pak 291-7)

Joel Wilson really took his time to make the decision but he decides that Ollie Pope did keep his gloves under the ball - a massive, massive moment in the game!

The more replays you saw, the more it felt like that ball might have been dragged along the ground for a second but the third umpire disagrees.

England are now three wickets away and Saud Shakeel falls six runs short of a century. But it was a superb innings from the left-hander.

He's got to have evidence that it's not been caught because of the soft-signal.

This is a difficult one for the third umpire.

This is close, it might have brushed the ground... Then again, it might not.

  8. Umpire reviewpublished at 06:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 December 2022

Has Mark Wood got another!? England think so and it's Saud Shakeel!

Another short ball, another catch down leg by Ollie Pope. Did it carry? We're going upstairs to check but the soft signal is out.

This is a big, big moment.

Simon Ashby: Complete madness of course, but brilliant to know that every time England play a Test match there will be a result.

That was so close to glove, edge and the off-stump. Two beautiful deliveries from Anderson there.

  11. Pak 291-6published at 93 overs

    Target 355

So close! Two beauties from Anderson to finish the over. The first is on an impeccable line and beats Salman on the outside edge.

Then next nips back off the seam, between bat and pad but just goes over the stumps!

Having a right-hander to bowl at will really please the England bowlers.

Lot of work to be done by both sides and we don't know yet who's going to win.

I like your confidence, Phil. I'd just point out that Salman batted at six in the first innings and Mohammad Nawaz was part of that long tail - he scored 45.

Pakistan far from favourites here imo. Their tail is so long. England-style collapse is very possible. Nawaz wicket just as I write this as well.

    Phil, Manchester

Can Pakistan embrace the madness of BazBall and declare, 65 runs shy of the total?

Two more short balls to end the over from Mark Wood. Agha Salman is the new batter and he is the last recognised batter.

Shakeel and Salman will need to score the bulk of the 65 runs needed if Pakistan are to win here, you feel.

Mark Wood has strangled Nawaz down the leg-side. That's a huge wicket for England. Still 20 minutes to go for lunch.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 91.4 overs

    Nawaz c Pope b Wood 45 (Pak 290-6)

Game on! Short again from Mark Wood, Mohammad Nawaz tries to go at it but gloves it behind down the leg side.

It was only a feather but that is enough to break this match wide open again!

The end of an 80-run partnership that has given Pakistan a great chance of victory.

  20. Pak 290-5published at 91.2 overs

    Target 355

The runs keep coming for Pakistan.

Wood is banging it in short but this one only gets up as high as Nawaz's thigh pad, clips it and runs away fine for four leg byes. Crawley dives to try and stop it but to no avail.
