  1. 'It has been perfect'published at 06:18 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2022

England captain Ben Stokes speaking at the presentation: "It has been perfect. We have a process of how to play but the challenge for us this series has been the surfaces. But we stuck to our game plan and adapted really well, be it with bat or ball.

“Whoever I threw the ball to they seemed to deliver. A lot gets said about the way we bat but the way we applied ourselves with the ball and the mindset and commitment in all three Test matches has been top draw.

“It all comes down to belief. The belief I have in taking the guys out in the field with me. At no point did I not believe in the team and what we are trying to do. The confidence everyone has in themselves and the people around them is unbelievable. To be able to lead a group that has so much belief and confidence gives confidence in myself as well. It is a very special feeling to say that about my players.”

Other teams will have to take this on. Be more aggressive and ruthless. Stokes and McCullum have shown it works.

This England team are changing cricket. They're playing every ball and hitting it into the gaps.

It's staggering what Stokes has done. He's changed their fields and had these ultra attacking fields. It's worked for England.

  5. 'We've been phenomenal'published at 06:07 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2022

England batter Harry Brook, who was named player of the match and the series, speaking at the presentation: "It is a good feeling to come out here and do something no other team has done. We all put our hard work in and we've been phenomenal.

"I've been out here a couple of times. It's quite lucky that I started my Test career out here and adapting to conditions as soon as possible. The way the team has been playing, I think I fit in quite well here.

"Jonny is a phenomenal player and I'm sure he will be coming back. I'll be happy to move around the order, I just want to play cricket for England and I'm still going to bat the same way.

"Stokesy said last night, the belief he has in each of us and the belief we have in him is phenomenal."

On Rehan Ahmed: "We're always taking the positive options and he's such a positive player. As a leg spinner and with a bat he wants to try and whack it. It was a dream debut for him."

On IPL selection: "It's a competition I've always watched since I was younger and the best franchise competition out there and hopefully I get picked up.

"I'll be having some family time now and a fair bit of food at Christmas now."

Wonderful England cricket played throughout the summer and on tour. Thanks Ben, Baz and all the squad! But please don't peak too soon ... the Aussies are watching and waiting.

  7. 'I’m not sure I will play in a team like this again'published at 06:05 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2022

More from Ben Duckett, speaking to Sky Sports: “I’m not sure I will play in a team like this again. We are willing to lose games to win and if you go with that mentality all the pressure goes off you. We are just trying to enjoy it."

On the impact of debutant Rehan Ahmed: “It is incredible. In was touching on the first day for his dad to be there when he got his first cap. He would have been nervous coming into this dressing room but it shows it is such and easy place to come into."

On next year’s series against New Zealand and Australia: “They are two of the toughest series we are going to have but I back myself. I didn’t feel ready when I was younger but I feel ready now. I know it is extremely tough at the top of the order, but the team are going to back me. You don’t get two Tests and get dropped. And if I get some scores we hopefully get into some winning positions.”

  8. 'Fitting Stokes was there at the end'published at 06:00 Greenwich Mean Time 20 December 2022

England opener Ben Duckett, speaking to Sky Sports: “I wanted to be there at the end. You don’t often get the chance when you are at the top of the order.

"It was fitting that Ben Stokes was there too. I know he wanted to hit a six to win and go past Baz. He wanted it bad.

“There were a few words last night about finishing it then, but me and Zak just tried to be positive. After getting a duck first innings Zak hitting a four with his first ball set the tone. We played to our strengths and thankfully got off to a flier.

“I’m very happy. You face lots of spin bowling here which is nice. I tried to stick to my game. If I am being overcritical then I think I left some runs out there this series. But I’m just happy to stick to my strengths.

“The mindset of this team from the start of the summer. It is brilliant to come into as you have the full backing to play the game your way.”

Pakistan's problem is that their bowling attack is not brutal.

When I was very young I remember watching cricket with my dad and asking him why Test players couldn't just score like they did in one day. Thirty years later I'm very happy to see I had simply invented Bazball when I was nine. You're all very welcome.

That good spirit Jonathan Agnew is referring to is on show again as the rest of the England team come out to the middle to shake hands with the Pakistan players.

Babar Azam is seen chatting with Ben Stokes as they make their way towards the dressing room.

I don't think it will be another 17 years before they return to Pakistan.

It's been a remarkable transformation for English cricket. What a series. Lots of people were unsure about how it was going to be. It's been triumphant and the series has passed along nicely.

The charm of this remarkable country and how pleased everyone has been that England have toured.

The series has been played in such good spirit. Hard on the field but a lot of respect for one another.

Don't forget, no team has ever won a series 3-0 in Pakistan. England had never even won more than one Test in a single series in the country before.

    Need one to win

Ben Stokes went for the record-breaking, match-winning six - but it falls just short at long-on and he can only run two.

Ben Duckett will be on strike next over with England needing one to win.
