On our honeymoon in a secret location abroad (our families are playing a guessing game with clues). This has not stopped my new wife and I tuning in to the start of the game. C'mon England!!!

Lively start, then.

Zak Crawley was 4-3 off 14 balls.
Crawley c Bracewell b Southee 4 (Eng 18-1)
You can't say it wasn't coming...
Having been dropped on nought and bowled off a no-ball on three, Zak Crawley is 'out' for a third time on four.
This one does count - safely snaffled at second slip as Crawley edged another drive.

I work in a warehouse for one of the major supermarkets, and today we chose not to send some kiwis to store as they weren’t quite ready. I’m taking it as a sign. (I won’t mention that some of the poms were mouldy…)
Archie
Is this Bazball landing in New Zealand?
With Zak Crawley wisely now at the non-striker's end, Ben Duckett flicks his second ball to the boundary and drives his next through the covers, adding four more runs.
A three follows and that means it's 14 from Wagner's first over - an over he thought he had started with a wicket.

Neil Wagner is bowling with a blue sightscreen behind him. It was the same when Crawley was bowled off the no-ball.
It's a no-ball!
Neil Wagner, a man who looks furious even when he's happy, has overstepped by a fair way.
It's an easy decision for the third ump.
Crawley b Wagner 3 (Eng 3-1)
Bowled him!
But wait...!
Sir Alastair Cook
Former England captain on BT Sport
Ben Stokes is showing us all up with his captaincy, let's be honest!
He is so clear on his vision and the clarity he speaks with, he is so clear and concise that there is no option but you follow him.
No pressure then...
Lydia probably doesn't want to know Zak Crawley has just played one of his airy drives to a lovely ball from Tim Southee.
It's a risky game early in his innings and one that can get your heart rate up at the best of times.

Currently waiting for the game to start at our local (UK) birthing centre as my wife has gone into early stage labour with our third child. Will be reading out the updates to the room so please make them as calming as possible...
From Matt and (otherwise quite busy) Lydia
Well!
Zak Crawley goes hard at the second ball, gets an edge and a very tough chance is put down at third slip.
Things couldn't look more New Zealand - fluffy clouds, a chilled out crowd on grassy banks and Tim Southee with the ball.
There's a bit of movement through the air first up.
The anthems are done.
England's Bazballers are batting first in a Test.
You're up. You may as well stay with us now. Go on...

The players have emerged from the dressing rooms at this beautiful ground.
There's a moment's silence before play as a mark of respect to those who have died in the cyclone which has hit New Zealand in recent days.
There are two debutants in that New Zealand XI, Scott Kuggeleijn and Blair Tickner, with Kyle Jamieson injured, Trent Boult having given up his contract and Matt Henry (I won't make the joke again) absent for the birth of his child.
Both men are experienced seamers and both have played white-ball cricket for the Black Caps.
New Zealand coach Gary Stead also said there were no "moral issues" over the call-up of Kuggeleijn, 31, who was cleared of a rape charge in 2017.
He has since won 20 caps for New Zealand in white-ball formats, although there were protests by fans at international games he played in 2019.
'What are the session times?' I hear you ask while you scroll, bleary-eyed through your phone screen.
Well...
