    Living a charmed life.

  2. Eng 11-0published at 5 overs

Tim Southee is punched to cover for a couple by Ben Duckett. He's struck on the pad by the New Zealand skipper's last ball as he gets himself in a bit of a tangle, but that was drifting down leg.

Just under 30 minutes of play left.

Ben Duckett, sleeveless cable knit sweater and his collar turned up, looks fairly relaxed at the moment as he works the ball off his legs for a single.

Zak Crawley, however, looks like he could be out any minute. He is beaten all ends up by an aggressive delivery back of a length from the penultimate delivery of Matt Henry's second over.

Dom Ford: Big innings for Crawley here. You feel any score under 50 and he could be out of the next series.

  6. Eng 8-0published at 3 overs

Zak Crawley sets off for a daft single off Tim Southee after dabbing one into the off side, and is sent back by Ben Duckett.

Devon Conway has one to stump to aim at as he dives forward and shies from point, but just misses. Crawley would have been well short if he had hit.

A lucky escape for the the Kent opener.

Crawley much more confident with a booming square drive which races to the fence of the last ball of the over.

  7. Eng 3-0published at 2 overs

Matt Henry, who was dangerous in the first innings, will share the new ball with Tim Southee. Ben Duckett eases one behind square to get off the mark from his first ball.

Zak Crawley a little more tentative as he is cut in two by Henry's final ball of the over.

Christian Thomas: England chasing 258. Great stuff from Brook as a bowler to go with his now expected century. Brookie should ask for the ball they didn't use because he and Leach bowled so well as to not need it.

Harry Brook's bowling in this innings: 0% full, 79% good length and 21% short. 8 overs, 0 maidens, went for 25 runs, took 1 wickets with an economy of 3.13.
  9. Eng 2-0published at 1 overs

A big waft of a pull shot from Zak Crawley to Tim Southee's third delivery and the ball flies over the New Zealand slip cordon to get England's chase up and running in a rather dubious manner.

Crawley a bit more watchful for the remainder of the over.

Right, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett are out in the middle ready to begin the chase. Tim Southee will open the bowling.

    Lead by 257

Ben Stokes persists with Harry Brook. He does have a tired attack in the ranks so maybe that's delaying the new ball. He thinks Brook or Jack Leach will get the job done for him here.

Just a single off Brook's eighth over as Neil Wagner blocks out. Tom Blundell, incidentally, has been sat at the other end watching the carnage unfold. He's unbeaten on 90.

The run map shows Tom Blundell scored 90 with 9 fours, 2 threes, 6 twos, and 36 singles for New Zealand

Two in an over for Jack Leach!

Matthew Henry pushes forward with hard hands to a delivery which straightens from Leach and nicks off to Joe Root at first slip who claims the catch then punches the air.
