Northern Diamonds captain Hollie Armitage told Sky Sports: “I think today’s performance was fantastic, obviously third time lucky against the Vipers. We had to fight hard.
“We’ve not been able to get over the line in the last two so it means a hell of a lot.”
“This means so much to them. These two teams have met each other in the final every time and the Vipers have always triumphed – but not today.
“Diamonds have been the better team, their bowling has been fantastic and they’ve fully deserved this win.”
