And Jofra Archer strikes straight away! HUGE wicket for England!

It is the slower ball bouncer that tempts Heinrich Klaasen into a pull that is pouched by Ben Duckett just in from the rope.

A magnificent innings comes to an end. Do South Africa have enough firepower left?

This looks a wise decision from Jos Butter. Jofra Archer is back.

  3. 6 runs

    SA 274-6published at 39 overs

    Ha, this outrageous.

Wayne Parnell joins the party as he takes a huge stride forward and pummels the ball back over Adil Rashid's head for six.

This partnership is worth 81 from 50 balls. 73 needed for the win.

  4. 6 runs

OH MY IT IS OUT OF THE GROUND!

Heinrich Klaasen has rocked back and launched a short Adil Rashid delivery into space.

Klaasen moves onto 76 from 58 balls. What an innings this is turning into.

Jos Buttler is changing it up again, Adil Rashid is back for his ninth over.

Sam Curran goes for five singles from his first five balls, better. But he cannot see the over out as his final ball is over-pitched and Heinrich Klaasen smashes the ball through the covers for four.

You'd think one more wicket would tip the scales in England's favour again, but these two look in the mood to carry South Africa home.

Oh my Heinrich Klaasen is on the charge! He has just clobbered Moeen Ali over long-off for a huge six!

    Strap yourselves in everyone...

  8. SA 242-6published at 36.3 overs

Another bowling change as Moeen Ali returns and Heinrich Klaasen clubs his first ball back over his head for what looks like a six, but it plugs just short before trundling over the rope for four.

Two balls later Klaasen helps the ball around the corner for another boundary!

    SA 234-6

Another change for England as Sam Curran comes into the attack.

Curran's final ball of the over is short and Heinrich Klaasen pulls it away to Moeen Ali on the mid-wicket boundary for a single that brings up a fine fifty.

A short raise of the bat from Klaasen but he looks like a man with a job still to do and quickly regains his concentration.

There is a bit of a hush among the crowd now as they pause the partying to focus on the action, which is a sure-fire sign things are starting to get close.

They all count. Chris Woakes finds Wayne Parnell's edge but with no slip in place the ball escapes fine past Buttler and away for four. The next shot is uppish but flies just wide of the fielder at mid-wicket.

Nine off the over. South Africa picking up momentum here

The worm shows South Africa are 39 runs ahead of England. South Africa are 229 for 6 after 35 overs. At the same stage England were 190 for 3.Image source, BBC Sport

    And again!

An almost identical delivery from Reece Topley and Wayne Parnell pulls it away to the boundary.

We maybe edging towards a thrilling finish here. South Africa are still well ahead of where England were at this stage, albeit having lost three more wickets.

    Target 347

Hello! Reece Topley bangs one in short but just sits up for Wayne Parnell who can pull it away gloriously for four.

    Brilliant shot.

Topley has not been particularly effective in this spell so far.

  13. SA 209-6published at 33 overs

Chris Woakes returns to the attack and his first ball is pummelled away wide of mid-off for four by Heinrich Klaasen. Two balls later he seizes onto a short ball and pulls it belligerently to the rope.

Klaasen is now 44 from 42 balls. As long as he is there South Africa have a chance.

  14. SA 198-6published at 32 overs

A fairly uneventful over from Reece Topley compared to the fireworks we saw from Jofra Archer, just the three singles and a leg-bye before the drinks come out to the middle and everyone can draw breath.

There is a cracking atmosphere inside the Kimberley Oval. The fans are going to have fun win, lose or draw.

  15. SA 194-6published at 31 overs

It was at this point in the England innings that Buttler and Malan really teed off. It would take something pretty spectacular from Heinrich Klaasen and new batter Wayne Parnell if they are to drag South Africa home from here.

There is a bowling change for England as Reece Topley returns for Archer.

    Another one goes!

Marco Jansen got a touch fortunate earlier in the over when he under-edged a huge sweep-shot that went through Jos Buttler for four.

No such luck two balls later as he attempts another sweep from a slightly wider delivery and he edges through to Buttler.

    Thanks, Aymen.

When I finished my first commentary stint England were trundling along at two an over. Then Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan put on the afterburners and now Jofra Archer is bowling rockets and taking wickets.

Let's hope my return doesn't jinx things....

  18. SA 136-3published at 30 overs

Archer is brought back into the attack. He's got three very important wickets today.

He's bowling at 147kph this over and only letting through three singles.

Can South Africa get a clean sweep? It's over to Tom Mallows to take you through to the end.

  19. SA 185-5published at 29 overs

Jansen goes for a reverse sweep and Duckett can't stop it.

He slides into the boundary cushion and the ball rolls over the boundary line underneath for four.
