It's clever batting from Nilakshi de Silva, she has provided the partnership Harshitha Madavi needed.

Bangladesh are crumbling under the pressure here.

The missed stumping, now that six - and it's some effort to clear that square boundary here at Newlands because they are absolutely huge.

A second Sri Lanka victory would be catastrophic for South Africa. I suspect their camp is getting a little twitchy.

The worm shows Sri Lanka are four runs ahead of Bangladesh. Sri Lanka are 103 for 3 after 16 overs. At the same stage Bangladesh were 99 for 4. The worm shows Sri Lanka are four runs ahead of Bangladesh. Sri Lanka are 103 for 3 after 16 overs. At the same stage Bangladesh were 99 for 5.

Oh dear. Ritu Moni bowls a wild full toss that is lucky not to be called no ball on height, but Harshitha Madavi slices it away for four anyway.

Two overs makes it 17 from the over and Sri Lanka now need a run a ball.

That's an expensive delivery! We haven't seen that from Harshitha Madavi in this innings. What a fantastic pick up.

  5. 6 runs

    SL 97-3published at 15.1 overs

Harshitha Madavi makes the most of the free hit by smashing the ball over deep square leg for six!!

That is effectively 11 runs off one ball.

Oh dear. That delivery was also a no ball, though we are not sure why.

    Free hit coming up...

  7. 50 runs

50 for Harshitha Madavipublished at 15.1 overs

Harshitha Madavi makes the most of that extra life by playing a delicious late cut that arrows away fine for four to bring up her fifty.

A great shot and a great innings. Can she now see her side home?

The run map shows Harshitha Samarawickrama scored 50 with 6 fours, 2 threes, 2 twos, and 16 singles for Sri Lanka Women

How crucial could that missed stumping be? It's really close and there will be a couple of overs here that will shift the momentum one way or another.

  9. SL 86-3published at 15 overs

Marufa Akter is having some game. She has just made a magnificent diving stop at point to stop what looked like a certain boundary.

It is a missed stumping next ball though! Harshitha Madavi is caught well out of her crease but Shamima Sultana fumbles the ball and cannot whip off the bails.

I've been really impressed with the running between the wickets in the games we've seen today.

  12. SL 81-3published at 14 overs

Bangladesh have to keep their heads here, a bit of sloppy fielding gifts Sri Lanka a single before a hefty sweep from Harshitha Madavi brings three more.

There's some concerned expressions on the faces of the Bangladesh players. They know they have to break this partnership or the game will start to run away from them.

That's a good response from Salma Khatun though, who gets one to grip of the pitch to end the over.

There is still some life in the surface.

It feels like Sri Lanka are building in partnership here. They need to extend it and keep the run-rate down. It's in the balance.

  14. SL 75-3published at 13 overs

    Harshitha 39, Silva 19

A couple of singles make it 11 from the over and 21 from the last two overs. This feels like a crucial stage of the match.

  15. SL 74-3published at 12.3 overs

Sri Lanka are coming back into this now. Harshitha Madavi has just cracked the next ball from Jahanara Alam away for another boundary.

Is the momentum swinging their way?

How unlucky is that?! Should've been stopped and could've only been one run.

  17. SL 69-3published at 12.2 overs

    Carnage!!

Jahanara Alam is brought back into the attack and Sri Lanka attempt a risky single off her second delivery.

The throw is good - too good in fact, it's a direct hit - but not only is the Sri Lanka batter safe the ball pings off the stumps and flies away for four byes!

  18. SL 64-3published at 12 overs

A punchy drive from Harshitha Madavi is clawed back just before the boundary but not before Sri Lanka run two to make it 10 from the over.

Bangladesh are still favourites but as long as Harshitha is there Sri Lanka have a chance.

I can totally see why Anna Harris gave that out. A good review from Sri Lanka, you don't want to lose your set batter at this stage.

  20. Not outpublished at 11.2 overs

Harshitha survives! The replay shows the ball was missing the stumps.

A good review by the Sri Lanka batter.
