New Zealand have seen the wicket is taking spin and keeping low but haven't adapted, that's why that Suzie Bates is so poor.

SA recover from shaky start to post 132-6

Target 133
Brilliant over from Mlaba, she has given South Africa a great chance with two wickets in her first two overs.
There was nearly a third as well, a run out this time, as Amelia Kerr knocks the ball into the covers and calls for a single.
The throw is slightly wayward otherwise Plimmer might have been struggling.

Mlaba has gone off on one like Imran Tahir and the crowd have gone wild!
Bates b Mlaba 0 (NZ 7-2)
Or not! Suzie Bates is gone for a duck!
A golden duck against Australia and now a second-baller here. She plays back but the delivery from Nonkululeko Mlaba skids on and crashes into middle stump.
Mlaba is ecstatic! The ball was far too full for Bates to be trying to pull it.
Target 133
Plimmer adds a couple more with a flick through backward square leg. That over should help New Zealand settle down after that early wicket.

I wonder if New Zealand are basing their approach on England's and Plimmer is playing the Alice Capsey role?
Target 133
Shabnim Ismail is bowling from the other end and Plimmer takes her on second ball, getting the ball up and just over mid-on for four.
Target 133
New Zealand opted not to send Sophie Devine out to open with Suzie Bates and the decision has not paid off!
Devine is not in at three either, instead it's Georgia Plimmer out to try and get the White Ferns back on track.

The perfect start from Mlaba. Just what South Africa needed.
We thought we would see turn and we have, which is what makes this total a competitive one.
Bezuidenhout st Jafta b Mlaba 0 (NZ 0-1)
Quick work from Sinalo Jafta and that is out! What a start for South Africa!
The ball from Nonkululeko Mlaba gripped and turned away from Bernadine Bezuidenhout, she overbalances as she pushed forward and lifts her back leg.
Jafta was very sharp behind the stumps and the batter couldn't get back in time.
NZ 0-0
Have New Zealand lost an early wicket again!? South Africa are confident as Bernadine Bezuidenhout overbalances pressing forward to Mlaba and the wicketkeeper whips off the bails.
Did she get her foot down in time?
Here we go. Nonkululeko Mlaba is going to open the bowling with Bernadine Bezuidenhout on strike.
The scene is set for New Zealand's chase - and what a scene it is.

As I say, South Africa got themselves up to a total that has given them a chance in what is essentially a must-win game.
Key to that was Chloe Tryon, who made 40 from 34 balls.
Thanks, Tom. I fancy this could be an exciting chase.
South Africa have battled their way to a competitive total on a surface that is starting to slow up and helps the spinners, in particular.
This match looks intriguingly poised and I would not be surprised if it goes the distance.
Good job safe hands Sam Drury is on hand to guide you through the New Zealand reply.

It gives South Africa something to bowl at. Over six runs per over needed. It only needs a good partnership at the top of the order for New Zealand to really get a hold of this game.
But equally, South Africa's strength is in their bowling. They've got Ismail, they've got Kapp and if they can be dangerous then New Zealand... well, they could collapse like they did the other day.
Nadine de Klerk ends unbeaten on 28 from 26 deliveries, a very useful knock that has put a bit of pressure back on New Zealand, who were well on top midway through that innings.
New Zealand will begin their reply shortly needing 133 to win.
Nadine de Klerk nudges the ball into the leg side and South Africa run a single to reach 132-6 from their 20 overs.
That is a good effort given they were 78-5 at one stage.
That's a lovely shot though. New batter Sinalo Jafta has hammered the ball through the covers for four.
A scrambled single next ball brings Nadine de Klerk on strike for the final delivery.
